Hey everyone! I am just curious if there is anyone else that has applied to the ADN program at Central Carolina Tech this time around? I believe the deadline was March 16. I was wondering if anyone knew when we are supposed to get our letters as to whether we got in sent out? Best of luck to everyone who has submitted their package!
No, you don't have a choice. You have to wear the ugly standard issue uniforms. lol. But they sure look better than the one I had at Midlands. At least these dont have an ugly collar. I opted to take a local CPR class this Wednesday. Its the same price but closer to me and only a four hour course as opposed to an all day event. I also set up my background check and toxicology screening. Next is to get my uniforms in order and figure out how I am going to pay for my books. The financial aid office is mailing me a scholarship application for books. I really like the Financial Aid staff there. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. Its a complete 180 from what I experienced at my other school.
I was just reading back through the comments. I just wanted to forewarn you that the schedule online is not necessarily the schedule the nursing program will go by. They will add stuff all the time, like the ATI orientation. You will go by the schedule THEY tell you. That is why you can not work while in nursing school. Well, that and the amount of time it takes to study. Not trying to scare anyone, but it can be intense at times.
Yeah I have to pay for my tox/background check as well. I also need to get my CPR out of the way but before I do that I need to talk to financial aid over a few things. I'm trying to rush and get this stuff done... as for the vaccines, I had the chicken pox as a kid and my doc put the date down but he didn't sign anything. Do I need a titer or anything? I'm confused on the chicken pox one.
