I was hoping if anyone went to Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education in Hackensack, NJ and if so I need to know about the Exit Exam. I failed the exit exam just took a few days ago with an 83 an dpassing is 85 as you should know. When you fail the exam and you come back to take it again do you get the same version? Are the exams basically similar the 2nd time around? Would love to know

I know time did fly by. Do you know anything about the traffic around 6:30am going into NJ? See you at orientation!

For me there's no traffic going into NJ in the morning and I take the Cross Bronx or the Deegan. Most of the people are coming into the city for work but just leave a little earlier to be on the safe side. Coming home there will definitely be traffic since it will be around 4.

That's not bad at all because I will be taking the cross bronk expwy...ok thanks!

I start in Nov to I'm so excited I cant wait. Do you know what kind of shoes you can wear with the uniforms.

They want all white shoes and everything also.

Ok thank you and im super excited..will it be ok if I get tennis shoes or do they want you to have on a certain type of shoe. Is anyone else starting in Nov?

Everyone in my class has different types of white shoes. All I'm sure of if that they want it to all white. Running, tennis, or cross training are all ok.

ok thank you. When did you start? how do you like it so far?

I started in the night program. It's been a lot of work which I anticipated but there is also some problems with the school. Overall, it's ok but you need to be real self starter and be able to teach yourself because they really don't teach you that much. I like the staff and teachers are helpful and knowledgeable but they need to have a library, extra books for learning, or even free tutoring. If you do want extra help you have to come in on Sundays and meet with the teacher and she will go over everything.

In my class there are alot of attitudes with people who think they are already nurses.(lol) It could be alot worse but I would be interested to hear what you think. My advice is to read and try and stay ahead because if you fall behind you might have a very hard time catching up.

One more thing, (you'll know what I'm talking about after you begin) do a little ati every week.

Good luck!

So are you close to graduating. You say they dont teach you that much...are they teaching whats on the test or when you take a test is there questions that were never discussed in class..or do u mean overall they dont teach you that much.

They read from the book which I thought was weird...that's all they do. I can do that at home. I was expecting a teacher to explain things to me from there own syllabus or curriculum. There aren't really handouts or other things that they give you to learn so that's why I mentioned that you have to read and go over things all the time.

Maybe if will be different for you, I don't know who your teachers will be.

Ok so I went to orientation last night n got my books n scrubs n they showed us how to use Ati....I have been goin over my chapter n my flash cards. What is the easiest way to keep up with ur cards
