I was hoping if anyone went to Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education in Hackensack, NJ and if so I need to know about the Exit Exam. I failed the exit exam just took a few days ago with an 83 an dpassing is 85 as you should know. When you fail the exam and you come back to take it again do you get the same version? Are the exams basically similar the 2nd time around? Would love to know

By the way is anyone else scheduled to go to 'CAN' in Jan 2011? Can Anyone tell me what the traffic is like form Brookyn both in the morning and afternoon?? thank you

Thank you so much for the information ! if ill pass we might be together in Jan/11 programm. The only thing is bothering me is the commute because i dont have a car and i have to come from Brooklyn. Well best of luck too u too

One more questions ! what if you fail one exam when u r in the program? does they give u a chance to make it up or they just kick u out from the program?

I believe she said that they drop the lowest test score...well I too live in Brooklyn and am scared of the commute...but i do drive! If you can't obtain the review sheet private messsage me you email address and i will email it to you! By the way you are allowed to take the test again right away .. they allow peolpe to take the test until all the slots are filled ...also you are only allowed to take it twice...

Hey sarr did you enter the program ? If so how do you like it? Do you commute from brooklyn?

eme165 ! i send u p/m with my email ! i hope u get it

HI, I just got admitted to daytime class and will be starting on the 25th of January and i live in Bronx. wanted to know if there is anyone coming from Bronx and drives to the school that I can carpool with? Will be willingly to share the cost.

I absolutely disagree with u, i just passed my exit on the first try... out of 18 of us, 15 passed. So if u had a hard time in the school, speak for urself. Ofcourse the school is challenging, but that is like any other lpn sch or rn sch out there. U certainly cannot expect teachers to spoon feed u. They have some wonderful teachers that are willing to help if u seek their help. And about teachers collecting bribe, dat sounds absolutely absurd. With all due respect, pls do not misdirect the ppl trying to do something valuable for themselves. I worked absolutely hard in The Center For Allied and i passed my exit on the first try. Am so anybody else that works just as hard as i did will be able to attain the same goal. Afterall i dont have five heads. The sch sets their exit exam standards higher than most school's out there. we all hated that idea, but know we all appreciate it, knowing that passing the exit gives u an 80% chance of passing ur boards. So whoever is attempting the center for allied, i say go for it, and put ur game face on.

How was the entrance exam, what ki.d of questions were on it, was thete a calculator to use?

Hey al ,

The test is basically 11 and 12th grade English and Math questions. Its not difficult, the Math portion has +,-, x, / of fractions and decimals, algebra , conversion and ratio problems. You cant bring a calculator for the test they give you scrap paper to do your calculations on. They have a guide you can purchase that preps you for the test and memorize the conversion table those questions will be on the test. Also go to the free tutoring they give before the test it helped me out alot. Good luck !

Hey, I was reading some posts on here about the ewing campus school. I'm a current student, I'll graduate in December

I think the school is awesome, great teachers (they work with all types of learning styles; visual, hands on, auditory, etc) My clinical experiences have always be good! Administration have always been supportive and knowledgeable!

I chose to do the LPN program as a stepping stone to get to my RN, in which they have started a bridge program from LPN to RN at their Florida campus.

I'm very excited to start my nursing career once I pass my NCLEX. This campus (Ewing) has an NCLEX prep course upon graduation to prepare for boards. Former students has a very high pass rate, with every student passing on the 1st try

Best of luck to any students or future students! Feel free to comment/ask questions, I'd be happy to help!! :yeah:
