Hi! New to this discussion board but I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am thinking about taking the CEN exam and do not know which book to purchase. Has anyone used one that was good? All the book stores I have been to do not have them in stock and I have to order them and I'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions appreciated.

I joined the ENA and got their CEN review book from the website. Has reasons for all the correct answers, but also why the wrong ones are wrong. There are around 5 practice exams in it and tips on studying & ID'ing areas you need to concentrate on.
Thanks!

The book I have is by Laura Gasparis Vonfolio...just got it and haven't gone through all of it yet, but a lot of coworkers have it. She has a really good reputation as an educator.
Good luck! :)

I did the CEN exam about 3 years ago - if you have solid ED experience, its a piece of cake - good luck. Don't sweat the small stuff.

I recommend the CEN review videos, total of 3 by Laura Gasparis RN. I had a few books but they were too long and too much info. was there that they made me sleepy all the time, I bought these 3 videos from "Nursing enterprice" I watched them 3 times and took my CEN, I pass the first time. Good luck.
Carlos.
