Cen Exam Question?!?!

Published

I'm going to take the CEN examination & am scared. I read you find out after completing the exam if you passed or not. Any advice from anyone who has taken it? I am studying, using the Mosby Emergency & Flight Nurse Examination Review book, any other tips for studying or about the test for a heads up? ANY help at all would be GREATLY appreciated, as this is a $316.00 Test!!!

Thanks!

Good luck to you!

Boy oh boy, Laura Gasparis Vonfrolio. :lol2: You know I really hated her the first time I listened to her material. I will not give it away for anybody else. Then, I realized her humor and aggressiveness was quite similar to my own. Pretty good material. The videos that I watched were a little dated, but you will laugh your a** off while learning.

Agree completely with the above. The Gasparis videos offer lots of info for the CEN and also for ANY nurse out there. She's got a knack for explaining things just right. i have the videos and the CDs - I listen to the CDs in the car but I'm glad I had the videos because I could "see" in my head the drawings and illustration she used in the videos.

I'm a big fan of her's and going to her Acute Care Skills seminar in Key West in September - so excited!!!

You will find out as soon as you take the test if you passed, or at least I did 3 years ago. I used the CEN review from ENA and Shehee's

book.

Good Luck

The ENA book was great and it was my primary resource. You had about 500 test questions in 150 question formats. I found the questions were a great reflection of the actual CEN. In addition, you were able to take two 175 question timed on line exams. My only concern is that the material was a little dated and the new CEN content may not be covered with this book. I used the 3rd edition. If a new edition is out, I would say go for it. Check my CEN thread for information on the CEN changes.

Gosh I love this forum!!! Thank you guys & gals ALL so much!!! I have already pre-ordered the new, not-even-out-yet CEN exam study book published by ENA. You all are the best (esp. GilaRN!).

Thanks again!

Off topic, but, what providence are you flying in? One of my best buddies was a nurse in Alberta before moving south.
