Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best!

I'm surprised so very few of us got a call!!!! If they started calling people on Friday and then again today starting at 9am, I'm sure by now they notified at least half of the people they intend to hire

I wouldnt think that way. We hardly heard from anyone, and for those who did get a phone call, it was for the first cohort only. There are still two more cohorts remaining. Stay positive! Who knows, maybe youll get the next call

I put the emergency department as my unit of interest.... my last name is W so perhaps if the alphabetical thing has any merit I will get a call in the next day or ?

Don't give up hope as long as we don't get a rejection email we're still in the game

Are we sure about the alphabetical method? Or cohort/ alphabetical by cohort? I have no idea.

do they send rejection e-mails? I'm scared of checking my mailbox.....I don't want to see my portfolio there hehe.......as I already said I'm not really expecting to get into the program but I'm just surprised that very few people on this thread got phone calls......

Yeah I think so. You'll know for sure this week, they told me. I'm surprised too. I would think they'd call a bunch of people in a row. But I guess they haven't finalized the list yet. That's what I was told on Friday when I emailed about the online application email.

I don't know why they haven't called me yet. I have two Bachelor of Science degrees. A BSN and another in Psychology. My GPA is a decent 3.77 and I've had my RN license since March. More waiting game I guess just like waiting for the NCLEX result.
