Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best!

Thanks Kristy. If I take the test on June 30 - I am assuming I wouldn't be able to print my license number until the end of the following week considering it's Fourth of July weekend. Do you know how long does it typically takes to verify if I passed or not?

Do you know when the start date of the program is?

It seems like it will take at least 2 weeks to process all our background checks. If they just sent out the applications tonight - they probably wouldn't even begin the process until Monday 6/20. Then they have to send offer letters out and give us a couple of days to get our health screening done. So bummed I am unable to take the test sooner but don't know if driving to SD is worth it, when it will only give me a few more days.

I think the time it takes to get your results also depends on when your school will send your transcripts to the BRN. If they were sent and received already I believe it takes about 3 days to a week...

I'm taking my NCLEX next Tuesday and hope to get results in time as well. Maybe you can contact the nurse recruiter and let her know your situation?

I think most people on this thread said that you need your license by July 1st but the email I received for the open house says your RN license is needed on or before July 5. Hope I was able to help

It would be great if we all get job offers but I don't want to get my hopes up yet. It seems to me the e-mail was sent to everyone. It's unfortunately unlikely that all the people on this thread will get an offer (at least statistically speaking), of course I hope I am very very wrong and we all get hired!!!!

I was reading the other thread and some of the people back in February didn't receive the e-mail......now we all did......what do you think it means???!!!

I am very inpatient and I just want to know hehe.....

My email also said 5th of July for license, you may be fine but as was mentioned let HR/nurse recruitment know your situation I dont know how brn updates during holiday but it may be automatic and you can always do Pearson vue trick to know if you passed

i just went back to count how many ppl posted that they received the email today. i lost count.. but i think its about 15-17.

yes I think everyone here got one! If they hire 60 people, the fact that 15/17 people are on this thread is just too odd.

That's why I don't think that e-mail means that we will get a job offer for sure

But I took Statistics many years ago so I might be mistaken

Just checked and found the request for the application that came yesterday. So no one has reported that they haven't gotten the request?

I was thinking since we didn't fill out employer nor reference info in the last web form (I don't remember filling this out) mayb they r just reviewing our work history n calling previous employers/reference to make a decision...maybe..?
