Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

I just asked my friend who got hired in 2009 if she got that email and she said yes. :yeah:

Remember, CSMC is hiring a pretty good size group of us, so it is possible that there is a correlation betw the request for application and an offer. Just saying...

Thanks Emos for the link I thought I remembered reading something like that awhile ago.

Thought I would share -I just asked my friend who is in the CSMC RN cohort from earlier this year if the request for an app was a good sign and the response was "I would say... yes!" for what it is worth. Of course we all know till the offer letter is in hand ....

I got it too. I emailed him back saying that I already filled it out but would be happy to fill it out again. Did anyone fill it out?

Didn't we fill this out when we first applied?????

I got one Too :)... In the last page of the application it gives u an opt to save as draft or as final doc so u can either review or summit the application I was able to review the application once I was done :)... Like u I hope is good news ;)...

Good luck everyone

I think the first one that we filled out was our personal information but I do not recall filling out past wrk history, school history, nor references... U might b right thought w our nerves all hyped up some of us might of forgotten ;)..

if everyone got the e-mail then I don't think it means anything....it's probably just something they have to do legally......we'll just have to wait I guess......

Hi. I haven't been on this thread before but have been creeping around :o)

I also received the email about the application. Will everyone on here have their license by July 1? I just got my ATT y-day and the earliest date I could sit for NCLEX is July 7. I am willing to drive to San Diego to take the exam b/c there is space on June 29, but do you think it will even matter since Cedar's requires having our license in hand by July 1???? Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would imagine if your license is verifiable and you can print a copy of your license # off the brn by July 1st or 5th you would be fine because you would be licensed even though the physical card will still be a few days off in the mail

Thanks Kristy. If I take the test on June 30 - I am assuming I wouldn't be able to print my license number until the end of the following week considering it's Fourth of July weekend. Do you know how long does it typically takes to verify if I passed or not?

Do you know when the start date of the program is?

It seems like it will take at least 2 weeks to process all our background checks. If they just sent out the applications tonight - they probably wouldn't even begin the process until Monday 6/20. Then they have to send offer letters out and give us a couple of days to get our health screening done. So bummed I am unable to take the test sooner but don't know if driving to SD is worth it, when it will only give me a few more days. :uhoh3:

first time posting on this CS thread. ive done some research from the previous CS new grad thread.

jan 3-5th: telephone screenings

jan 19th, wed: open house

jan 21st, fri: first mention of someone receiving an email regarding the application

jan 24th, wed: first mention of someone receiving a call for job offer (continued until jan 27th, thurs)

there wasnt anyone who mentioned that they received the email and not get a job offer.

there was one poster that mentioned that he/she did NOT receive an email but received a job offer.

correct me if i am wrong?

looks like they received notice right away.

it took CS one full week to send out the emails regarding the application for us.
