Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

I believe that the last cohort (according to an allnurses thread) heard a week later. But it might take longer for our cohort to hear back if there are way more applicants or something.

Oh wow! I didn't know that the last cohort found out the following week. That's fast! Well, I guess we'll see!! Has anyone tried calling HR to find out when we would know? I guess we'll just keep waiting :)

I really do not like waiting....so nerve racking!!!

Keep checking my cellphone and my email....

I really hope they call us by this week....! :)

Im in the same boat as well..my interviewer did not really make any comments or said anything about recommending me but I feel like i did quite well...we all just have to wait and see..what they told me was we would hear in a week and they were unsure about how many cohorts there will be and how many people will be selected for each one.

Same here. My interviewer was very sweet but I did not get any feed back. That's nice for the people that walked out knowing they did well. I walked out embarrassed because I kind of fell out of the chair when I went to sit down in the beginning. My interviewer seemed to be trying not to laugh the entire time :o

my interviewer said that we should hear back two weeks from the interview but i'm hoping it will be sooner!! :confused:

@ wiilowlove - don't be too hard on yourself. I too had an awkward moment when I stumbled over the word "self-deprecating". I said it right the first time but in a weird Curb Your Enthusiasm moment it sounded to me like I had said self-defacating (I didn't)! I repeated it several times and felt *really* stupid but surely those interviewers have been in our shoes and can see past a little interview jitters. My interviewer was very nice about my "moment" but I felt like it was the end of the world after the interview sitting in my car in the parking garage!

Thanks Squidwardrules :) I'm a shy person in general so interviews bring out my shyness and nervousness to the extreme. I'm sure we we didn't come across as awkward as we thought! :cheers:
