Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

went to job fair worst ever its useless!!! anyway does anyone receive any email from cedars right after you cut and paste your resume

how did it go? did you get to talk to a couple of employers?

Pinoys it's useless they just requiring someone with at least one year experience. And they only take your resume if you meet criteria

just fyi kaiser is not actually hiring its just a post to see interest in their new grad program at all their hospitals the posting states:

"Please note, this position posting is exclusively intended to determine interest in future new graduate RN opportunities. Should you meet the posted qualifications, we invite you to submit your interest. Due to high volume, we may not contact every applicant, however we will will review and retain your information for 12 months. It is not necessary to follow up on the status of your resume. Actual position status, shift, and department will vary depending on the needs of the medical centers and will be determined at the time of our next new graduate program. At this time, new graduate RN program(s) information is currently not available"

tnx Kristy.w for clarifying this... I guess I was to exited to see the job posting that I missed that very important part...

its ok I got excited when I first saw it a few days ago and that bursted my little new grad bubble :) but maybe with enough interest they will open it up?

Did u apply? I did... I think the more people apply the more chances of it opening

did you get the chance to give them your resumé at least? it's tough and it's definitely frustrating.

don't say that django, we didn't sacrifice our time, money, and effort just to get paid like we didn't go school for nursing. i'm actually tempted to take a job as a caregiver but that won't even count as an experience.

i hope we get an invitation from hospitals in time for fall 2011 new grad rn program

have you considered relocating to another state if there's an opportunity?

i dont mind being paid 10/hr as RN , i need experience .. not money .. coz after you gain experience that will be paid off i cant demand high salary when the fact i dont have any experience .. so if anyone will hire me with little salary il take it as long il gain real good experience

good for you. i won't encourage that as it might become a precedent to the whole industry. next thing you know, we'll become cheaper by the dozen. good luck!
