Cedars Sinai New Grad Winter 2022 Cohort

Updated:   Published

Hey guys! Starting this thread so we can all keep each other updated on the Cedars-Sinai RN Residency application which will be opening sometime after midnight tonight. This is for the Winter 2022 cohort which begins February 14, 2022. Remember to keep checking and apply as soon as it's open since they shut it off after 200 applications that meet the basic requirements. Good luck to everyone applying!

Update: Just got an email this morning that I was selected as an “alternate” candidate, which I’m guessing is like a “waitlist”/backup if others ultimately decline the offer. Super bummed, but congratulations to all those who received offers! Maybe I will try again next round.

Congratulations! Yes, I figured that was the case, and why nobody else on the thread was hearing either way. I would not give up hope. There have been no "offers" yet. I know that they originally sent out the connectivity test email to about 85-90 people (a little less than half the applicants). They said they were expecting 83 people at the "test" today. I saw about 72 in attendance, and they accept about 60 new grads per cohort (2-4 per department and about 8 for the OR). The person running it did say that many people do decline the offers (once given), so they will then go to the alternates. The interviews are on the 4th and 5th, and the emails to all candidates, including alternates will go out sometime between the 7th and 14th. You will know by then. ?

congrats to those who heard back!! just checked my application and it says “no longer under consideration” ??

It's all good. I guess that just means it wasn't the right fit for you. I know you will find the right fit eventually. Getting your RN was the hardest part, and I am sure a job is right around the corner for you. ?

yeah you’re right! I did accept an offer from providence so at least I have that! ?

Awesome! That seems like a great place to work. I heard the culture there is really nice, and they have great benefits! Congrats!

Oh, that sounds great! I remember you saying that yours was on the 15th of December! Is it really an actual "test" or what is it? I need to mentally prepare myself LOL. :')

LOL. No, it's literally just to test your internet connection and to see if you have any questions about using Microsoft Teams, since Cedars uses MS instead of Zoom. I got dressed for the meeting, but they told everyone to leave their cameras off. ? Good luck!

Yes, thanks. Good luck to everyone!

How was the interview? Was it your basic interview/situational questions (e.g. "tell me about a time when")? Or were there intervention questions?
