Cedars Sinai New Grad Winter 2022 Cohort

Updated:   Published

Hey guys! Starting this thread so we can all keep each other updated on the Cedars-Sinai RN Residency application which will be opening sometime after midnight tonight. This is for the Winter 2022 cohort which begins February 14, 2022. Remember to keep checking and apply as soon as it's open since they shut it off after 200 applications that meet the basic requirements. Good luck to everyone applying!

How was the interview? Was it your basic interview/situational questions (e.g. "tell me about a time when")? Or were there intervention questions?

For me, it was more specific to the department.

I just got the link to fill out references today.

Hi! Just following this thread, because I want to do the new grad program with Cedars for Winter 2023. Can anyone tell me what the process was like, in terms of when you applied, interviewed, etc.? I'm currently out-of-state but would like to transfer my license to Cali sometime this year. Thanks!

If you want to be in the Winter cohort, you would apply in November of this year. You should check the dates on Cedars' website for exact dates. The application day is about 3 months before the program begins. (This year the application date was 11/8/21, programs starts on 2/14/22). Remember to have all parts of the application organized and ready to go (resume, cover letter, volunteer experience, etc.) Be prepared to either stay up late or get up early on the application day because it only stays open for a few hours, or until they have received 200 applications. Maybe have a mentor or experienced nurse or manager review your resume and cover letter. Hope that helps. Good luck!

I had a virtual on-boarding meeting today with others accepted to the dept. The recruiter/HR rep says he will send out offer letters probably on Friday.

This was very helpful! I appreciate it. Looks like they don't have the exact dates yet for Winter 2023, but I imagine it'll be around the same time as you mentioned. Thanks so much ?

I'm happy to help. ? Just keep checking this page: https://jobs.cedars-sinai.edu/nursing-new-grads and I am sure they will post it soon. Last time, they opened up the application around 2:30 in the morning. So just put everything you need into a folder on your desktop (pdfs and jpgs) and have it all ready to go. I suggest having ACLS and maybe even PALS if you are applying to a peds unit. Good luck!

Did anyone get any information regarding uniform orders? I have completed everything so far including EHS and HR.

I have not gotten that yet. I am scheduled for my EHS/HR appointment for 2/3. That was the soonest appointment I could get. They must have filled up quickly bc I scheduled it the day after our zoom meeting. You could probably reach out to Stanley. He is super helpful and friendly. His direct number is on his email.
