Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

OMG i've been trying to log on to this site FORVER and finally got through! My appt is @4pm!!!!! :nailbiting: I'm trying to keep my cool!! Does anyone have any idea about the types of questions they ask (interview questions)??? I read from previous cohorts that they ask about meds??

Hey! I only know what I've read in previous forums (2011 was most descriptive). It sounds like they ask the basic interview questions ("where do you see yourself in 5 years"), med questions, and some behavioral/scenario questions ("what would you do if you saw a nurse doing something illegal" or whatnot).

Overall it seems like a fairly difficult interview... :( :( :( Hopefully we all do well!

I doubled spaced too. Single spaced always look weird to me haha.

I hope sooooo @laurbaks!! Let's stay positive! I'm having such a hard time condensing my essay to one page! Once I double spaced mine it turned out to 2 1/2 pages:woot: lol!! I am using APA format because I don't want them thinking I'm an RN who doesn't know how to write essays (God knows how many papers we had to write during nursing school!).

I double spaced too. I've read in the other forums too that the interview seems rushed and kind of like speed dating. They're every 20min so it can't get too in depth I would imagine. The good thing is that they know we are new grads and don't have any experience. If we are just ourselves, I'm sure we will do fine. Good luck to us all!!

TopGear: Yeah they only post the link when applications are being accepted. You will find it under the regular job search.....here were the dates:

Cohort #1: June 17, 2013 - application date March 18, 2013

Currently licensed

-Cohort #2: July 22, 2013 - application date April 29, 2013

License needed by June, 1, 2013

-Cohort #3: August 19, 2013 - application date May 28, 2013

Licensed needed by July 1, 2013

-Cohort #4: September 30, 2013 - application date July 24, 2013

License needed by August 15, 2013

Applications for the RN New Grad Residency Program will be accepted until the first two-hundred fifty (250) applicants apply.

Thanks for this!!! What is all required for the application (Letter of recs, etc...)? I just want to be prepared to apply to the next cohort.
