Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

U.S.A. California

Published

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

Although I'm almost dreading any updates for me (did not have as solid of an interview as I had hoped for), has anyone heard anything back yet?

Nope, nothing here yet

I haven't heard anything yet

App status says "on hold" not sure what that means...

Yeah the app said "on hold" before the open house too

Definitely same boat as you. If only the interview went better than it actually did, I wouldn't be checking my email every hour.

no updates yet. :\

Anyone else dying? This waiting is killing me

Oh yes, check my email sometimes every 5min, always make an effort to stop after 5. But one last check before bed just in case. Even getting a rejection would be something so I could move on to next effort fully. I think Temecula is done and won't contact me, but that's ok cause I really want this one.

Absolutely yes. I check both my email AND this forum constantly to see if there's any sign of an update.

Can someone please tell me what the requirements are for the new grad program at Cidars? Such as how many letters of rec, GPA, ect? Also does the person writing the letter of rec submit online or can the applicant submit the letter/s with the application?

Thanks!!

Two letters of rec, they have to be originals. We turned those in with a packet we assembled for the open house interview, resume, essay about why we want to be a nurse and such. And I'm not remembering if they had a GPA minimum or not... Past posts have indicated that people with 3.2 have gotten accepted, if I remember that correctly.

Thanks liddy_adams!!
