  1. Hello ! I have recently applied for CHOC's fellowship program for 1 year experienced nurses and plan to apply for CHLA's RN transition program. For those who have applied in the past, I was wondering what the hiring process is like. Are there multiple interviews or panel interviews and how long does it take to hear for a response? For those who have also applied for this cohort and are in the same boat as I am, can you please keep me updated if you have heard a response? Thank you in advance !
  2. nothing yet. I have my fingers crossed though !!
  3. good luck everyone that's taken the exam already! My exam is scheduled next week, July 23, 2011. Does anyone have tips on how to study for this? Is there a study guide posted somewhere? Also: Is it a written exam (fill in the blanks/essays) or multiple choice?
  4. Literally JUST got my rejection letter to cohort 1. CONGRATS AGAIN to SANDYMICKEY! :) you will be great! :) RNBSN4: I can't remember off the top of my head, but I BELIEVE it was from clinical instructors and they preferred original copy only. :)
  5. Omg! Congrats, sandy! I really hope I get a call now...
  6. I was told we would hear back 1-2 weeks after the interview...but since they're starting the second cohort applications I really hope we hear back before the end of the week (just to lighten their work load )
  7. CSUEBRNstudent!: I graduated from West Coast University with a BSN (GPA: 3.52). Star2011: I'm not sure. I actually applied to the application at 8am a few days later than it said it was posted. Good luck to everyone who is going to apply today . If it helps, the first posting was titled, "Registered Nurse I - New Grad Residency Program, Nursing Institute." Hopefully this will narrow down the search results!
  8. Mdthenurse: hopefully we find out by the end if this week! Jaspersun: I'm a BSN with a 3.52 gpa Gastro2012: from what I remember, it was just a basic information app
  9. Mdthenurse: I'm not exactly sure how long mine took. I was scheduled to have my interview at 8 but it actually ENDED at that time...so maybe 15 or 20 minutes I'd guess. SandyMickey: I have no idea. I felt as though I babbled a little too much. I wasn't asked about a time where I broke the rules. She didn't ask me the last two questions on the list. I guess only time will tell how we do but I know this wait is going to feel like forever. I'm not sure about you, but I think the application and interviews are fine but the waiting for answers is really killer! Good luck to you and hopefully we get a chance to work together!
  10. How does everyone think they did? :)
  11. First interview today! Don't know how I did... No med questions just about you... :) My person told me three are 125 interviews today for 25 positions. We should be contacted in about 2 weeks. Good luck everyone! Think customer service :)
  12. Here a little early for the interview. Starting to get real nervous... Good luck today, everyone!!!
  13. I've been trying to prepare myself for a panel interview (worst case scenario in my opinion). I figured they might pair us up with a manager from our list of units but I have no idea. I'm really worried about what questions they might be asking. We've already been asked about lasix (like previous years have been). I wonder if they'll have other med questions.
  14. Does anyone have any ideas what kind of questions they might ask us this time around?
  15. AHH!! Me too!! :) My appointment is at 8am!! So excited!!
