Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

For those of you who have applied to the program do the letters of recommendation have to be from clinical instructors or can they be from professors as well?[/quote']

I looked back at my email and it specifies the letters of rec need to be from clinical instructors and they need to be originals

Literally JUST got my rejection letter to cohort 1.

CONGRATS AGAIN to SANDYMICKEY! :) you will be great! :)

RNBSN4: I can't remember off the top of my head, but I BELIEVE it was from clinical instructors and they preferred original copy only. :)

What's the skilled survey? I just submitted my official app which includes the background check. I wonder why the extra step for you?

Has anyone else's status changed online for cohort 2? Mine has been saying "on hold" and now says "open" so I'm worried...haven't got a rejection letter though.

Mine changed to "Open" also. I'm wondering if anyone here applied to both cohorts? I applied and was rejected (after phone screen) from Cohort #1 and am trying again..
