Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2013

Just thought it would be helpful to post a new thread for the upcoming new grad program starting this summer. I've seen the thread for the program last year and wanted to see if anyone was one of the first 250 who applied for it this year. I applied for cohort #1 and got a phone interview last week and the gentleman said that I'd receive an e-mail within 1-2 weeks. I've also heard of people getting rejection emails as well without a phone interview. Anyone have additional info they'd like to share? Good luck to all us new grads out there!

i havent heard anything yet for cohort 2, but I know some people have gotten rejections already...so I guess no word is a good thing at this point!

Did anyone else get rejected from Cohort 1 and then reapply to Cohort 2?

Just received my phone interview. It was a pretty quick one with about 6-8 questions. Good luck to us all!

Did anyone who got hired into cohort 1 know what unit they're going to be on? My friend and I were both told that it wasn't decided yet so I was curious if anyone else knew?

Just curious, does your application say "open" or "on hold"?

Thanks! Mine says open. It used to be "on hold" for the first couple days after I applied.

Not sure either. I am assuming we are going to do med/surg first. Did you already get an offer letter?

Yeah I was just wondering which med/surg like oncology, telemetry, peds, ortho etc. no offer letter yet....just did my drug screen today and did the skilled survey Friday and they said my background check was getting started

cool! when I interviewed with the ortho nurse manager, she made it seem like that was where I am going to start. I did pick ortho as my specialty so who knows lol.

Congrats! Did they call you to schedule a phone interview or did they just call and ask you stuff?

Thanks! They called me and started asking me questions. I woke up a couple minutes before that too.:dead: So better prepare!

Omg! Haha that would be my luck too. Ahh I'm nervous now I hope they call. What kind of questions were they? Just general ones?
