Cedars Sinai New Grad Feb 2021

Hello everyone! ☺️

Cedars-Sinai opened their New Grad applications for the February 2021 cohort. I opened this thread so we can keep each other updated. Who else applied? I submitted an application and wanted to see if anyone else did. Application closes once they receive 200 qualified submissions.

Congratulationss! that sounds like they are very interested in you! May I ask if you have experience as an RN? I'm currently working for another hospital as an RN in an ICU step-down  for 3 months but graduated in May '20. I hope this doesn't hinder my chances of getting an interview (since I know some hospital new grad programs want zero-experience RNs). ?

Mine still says under consideration. It's been the same since the 14th. I think I choose a medical floor 7SE/7SW for my first choice and 6SCCT Cardiac Surgical ICU for my second choice. I've also been working as a nurse since the second week of March 2020, but haven't working in any acute care settings besides a locked psych hospital.

Hi! I actually just graduated last month. I have no experience in an acute care setting. I’ve been working at a covid testing site since the end of November, but that’s about it! May I ask which hospital? ? I think you should be okay as long as it’s less than a year!

I also chose cardiac ICU and 8SE/8SW, but I believe they do not hire new graduate RNs into the ICU. I hope this doesn’t hurt our chances of getting in..

Hi guys ? for last cohort when I applied, I remembered receiving job alert email around 4am that the program has posted. So I woke up at 4am this time, but it was opened already LOL

I applied oncology & advanced HF unit. My status says Under Consideration (updated 14th), hope this means something.. Have no previous experience as RN, graduated on this June.

Which unit did you guys also apply? Want to see if anyone else applied oncology ?

Just got my email for the Jan virtual interview as well! Do you guys know what the steps are after this?? is it like a virtual interview then an in-person one?

I heard interviews will be online only now because of covid but I am not 100% sure. I hope it’s just one interview ?
