CCSF Fall 2016 Applicants

Published

Hi,

Just wanted to start a thread for those applying in Jan/Feb to CCSF's RN program (Fall 2016 start).

Anyone? This will be my first time applying, but I know it's lottery based so not holding my breath. Good luck to all! :)

Thank you! I will buy the ATI online practice test. How deeply do I have to study for science? Do you think it is not enough if I only go over ATI book?

Wow 85%! Great! I hope I can pass the test.

Hi Everyone,

I finished all my pre-reqs in 2015 at both CCSF and Merritt. This is my second time applying as I applied for the Spring semester, but was placed on standby. I received my acceptance letter for the Fall and I can't wait to get started!

Just make sure you study every detail of science! For example: If theirs a question about where the blood enter the heart? Make sure you understand the whole process of blood flow because the questions are very similar. Just keep reviewing the topics from the manual and you be fine :) download a TEAS app on your phone to answer test sample question whenever you on the road and can't have that heavy book with you.

Congrats! see you at the orientation!

Agree. The blood flow through the heart was on the test and punnett squares.

I PMed some of you guys my email. I thought maybe we can keep each other up to date and possibly start a study group. Also, I'll be taking the math class they suggested to take over the summer. Is anyone else taking it?

I wont be due to work. I took it last summer and it was really helpful!

I would happy to be part of a study group :) I should check out the Math class they recommended but if it doesn't work with my work schedule than probably not. Got to work and save before nursing program start.

did anyone NOT get anything yet? I haven't gotten anything at all :(

Ps: I'm from SoCal

I haven't received anything yet and I am in SF. I went into the office yesterday and they said everything will be sent out by Friday.

Hey just curious if you knew, I'm not sure exactly how the lottery works, but if your on standby for fall semester and don't get in are you in for the next spring semester. Or is it a whole new lottery for spring?
