Hi to all,
Hopefully we can start this thread with people who are thinking or going to apply to the fall 2016 evening program at CCRI.
When is everyone thinking of taking the HESI and what does everyone think of the new requirements and what that is going to mean for total points needed to get accepted into the program now?
Does anyone know how many applicants actually get accepted into Newport and Lincoln campus?
Hey! I am applying this month with 194.8 points. I really want to get into Lincoln nights as it is the most convenient to keep some hours at work. I'm wondering if only applying for Lincoln is risky? Newport is just too far for me. I could make days work by getting a new job I guess. What do you guys think, too risky to just apply to one campus?
Wow 194.8 points that's awesome good for you! I think you are safe applying only to Lincoln however just for peace of mind I would list the other campuses as back up. I am sure you will get into Lincoln but if it were me I would list Warwick and Prov just as back ups. I do not think you have anything to worry about though. Good luck!
I applied on the first to all campuses with 180.9. I am curious about the application pool being larger too.. however with the changes being so new we may be in luck. I think it may be worse for those applying in August. Although even if people take the 3 pre-reqs they still have to complete the other classes to graduate and may choose to do that before applying. Maybe! I took care of all of the necessary classes because I knew I wouldn't want to deal with them during the nursing program.
Me too natsmum! I am hoping that's the case that we are in luck and that the application pool will not be as large or competitive. I am getting those classes out of the way as well. I have my social science and I am taking Physiology now and Micro over the summer. This two months waiting is going to be tough!
I applied on Feb first as well with 179.8 points... took all pre-reqs and hesi last semester and I'm grateful that is over...omg...first choices are day programs Warwick then Prov. followed by Lincoln and Newport. I talked to the secretary of the Nursing Dept. she said entire program is revamped, different classes and as far as I understood dosage and health 1000 are not needed at all because it will be mixed into the program itself, but I could have misinterpreted. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :)

Yes I took all the old pre reqs. Physiology is difficult but I ended up with an A - but I spent lots of time studying and took it twice
