2015 CCP Nursing Program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hi-Is there anyone that applied to the CCP Nursing program doing the early decision option applying by November 15th? I thought they said we would hear back before the end of the semester because the regular admission deadline is January 15th for everyone else, but I haven't heard back yet. I wasn't sure if they inform just the accepted students or even if you are denied. I am so nervous and have been waiting since the November 15th deadline......it's a horrible feeling:/

Hey,

It's been a while since your post, so hopefully they contacted you about your results. I did the early decision and they sent a letter saying I got accepted back in dec. I sent in my $50 deposit but haven't heard from CCP since. I hope you got in too!

Hi!!! Yes they finally sent out my acceptance letter (what a relief!!!!) My file just so happened to be the pile right before the holiday break and they didn't get to all of them like they had hoped. BUT I got in so that's all that matters!!! Congrats to you too!!! I sent in my $50 deposit also. See you soon....before you know it it will be September!!!

Congratulations to the both of you. I was in the program for the fall 2014 semester and did not pass to this semester. Its a very tough program and my best recommendation is to start reading as soon as they give you the test book list because there are a lot of pages to read and it does you no good not to read them. I reapplied to the program because I made it all the way to the end of the semester and I didn't pass because I had a fire at my house the week before finals and was under a lot of stress. You need to maintain a 72 average on the four exams (unless they up the grade for fall 2015). I ended up getting a 70 because I didn't get the grade I needed on the final. There are no exceptions they will fail you but I was able to an excused withdrawal to get rid of the F. I just took my allied health test again on March 11. I'm hoping to back in the program I enjoyed it and everything I learned. Many people I know had mixed feelings and there were a lot of people that dropped out when I was in it. But if you work really hard and study you can make it through.

Once you get accepted and pay your $50 deposit, you will get a packet in the mail around April telling you when the orientation date is and about getting your criminal background check, child abuse clearance, drug test, CPR certification and immunization and titer check. The orientation date is in the beginning of May and you will also get a chance to try on the uniforms and order them that same day.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me and hopefully I will see you in September.
