Hi!!! Yes they finally sent out my acceptance letter (what a relief!!!!) My file just so happened to be the pile right before the holiday break and they didn't get to all of them like they had hoped. BUT I got in so that's all that matters!!! Congrats to you too!!! I sent in my $50 deposit also. See you soon....before you know it it will be September!!!

Not yet-I applied for the early decision and apparently there is a hold up with the letters. They didn't get them all done before the holiday break so a lot haven't heard yet. The waiting is the hardest part:/

If I remember correctly it was about a couple hours. There is different amount of time for each portion of the test. It is challenging but you just have to stay positive and answer as many questions as you can. The time is the worst part because you literally run out of time. I believe the reading portion is 20 minutes and you have to answer 40 questions.....Language usage skills is 16 sentences and you have 11 minutes.....and the math portion is 18 minutes for 32 questions. Did you go to the workshop for the AHT test? That helped a little and I just googled alot of things to find different websites to practice everything. I would practice how to read and pick apart the passages and time yourself until you have mastered that part because that is very time consuming. Just relax and stay positive!!! Good Luck!!

Oh well that makes me feel much better!!! LOL-They messed up my first testing date so I was quite upset I hadn't gotten my AHT test in with the first batch. When did you take yours? I heard some people's profiles change and some don't.....my luck mine won't change if I get in and I will have to wait for that letter!!!

That's awesome Phoenix11!! Congrats!!! Yes, I took the AHT the week before the deadline because they screwed up my first test date, but I did get my AHT done to apply for the early decision option. When I had emailed the week of 12/15, they said my docket was up to be reviewed that week, so I'm thinking with the holiday and break, that's why there is a lag in response. It is just nerve racking. I felt like with the early decision since I qualified in the 7, 8, or 9 that I had a good shot because it was before others were applying, but you can never be too sure. So I shall keep waiting with my fingers crossed!!!! Hopefully I will be in your class!!! LOL Hope everyone had a great holiday and Happy New Year!!!

I truly believe it is what YOU make it.....who cares what anyone else thinks. Nurses started in that profession for a reason....a feeling....and they just knew that that's what they wanted to do with their life. If you truly feel like that is where you can see yourself, than by all means push through your negative thoughts and focus on the reasons you do see yourself doing it. Age isn't anything but a number, and some of the best nurses I know are older than 50. I was in nursing school with a woman who was in her 50's.....brightest one in the class and was an absolute doll. Don't give up on something if you really want it-prove anyone that has an opinion about it wrong...because in the end it just comes down to YOU and YOUR patients!!!

I actually have to go to Barnes and Nobles for hours and get out of my house, otherwise my 2 young kids nag me all day and I get nothing accomplished!!! I use ear buds to block out the noise and take notes as I re-listen to the lecture. It's quite a process...but it works for me!!!

Did you do the early decision option last year too? I am still waiting to hear back and applied by the November 15th deadline.....I thought I would've heard by now:/

I also applied for the 2015 CCP Nursing program and I applied with the early decision option and still haven't heard anything back yet:/ I applied and took my AHT back in November and thought we would hear back before the end of the Fall Semester but haven't heard anything.....so nerve racking!!!

Hi-Is there anyone that applied to the CCP Nursing program doing the early decision option applying by November 15th? I thought they said we would hear back before the end of the semester because the regular admission deadline is January 15th for everyone else, but I haven't heard back yet. I wasn't sure if they inform just the accepted students or even if you are denied. I am so nervous and have been waiting since the November 15th deadline......it's a horrible feeling:/

Just curious phillygirl1239-if I applied for the early decision in November, when will we usually hear by? I wasn't sure if it was after the New Year and I thought it may have been by the end of the semester. How is the program?

I'm assuming it would be ok as long as it was unopened
