I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?
Hi born2winDo you have all the prerequisites done? Also did you attend an information session? You need to attend the session to get the application packet for the program. The last information sessions are Jan 10 & 13, I believe. You can check their website or call for the specific times. You get scheduled for the AHT when they have received your application and high school transcript. A&P is Anatomy & Physiology.
Congrats to all who have already been accepted!!! I am so nervous about taking the AHT. Im sitting on 5 points, so a 21+ is imperative for me to get in. I am scheduled to take the test on Feb. 3. I am comfortable with the reading and grammar sections, but I am unsure about the math. Can anyone give me any pointers or an idea of what to expect for the math section. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Born2winYou won't be able. To be able to apply you need to have a Chemistry grade before the application deadline of Jan.15. You can apply for next year though.Tiffany2014, the only advice is to work fast. The time flies by. There are quite a few fraction problems on the test as well as word problems. But time is the biggest factor.
Born2win, if you have high school Chemistry less than 10 years old, you can use that. Just check the link below, it tells everything.Nursing | Community College of Philadelphia
Hi everyone!
Its so nice to find this forum! I have also applied for the 2014 nursing program at CCP and I'm praying that I get in. I took the AHT on 12/17/13 and I have yet to get my results due to the school being closed for the holiday. I am so nervous to find out my results but I am going to go on Monday to find out. I hope I will be joining all of you that have already been accepted!
Hello everyone,I was accepted into CCP's nursing program for the fall of 2014 back in early December and sent my deposit but haven't heard anything since then, has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks!
Hi! I was accepted in early November and am in the same boat as you. I heard that they will send us a letter around April for the Orientation day and around May we go to that orientation and they will give us a packet to fill up (Health form, clearance, etc.) So, IDK....I am just waiting now. I want to get a CPR training as soon as possible. Anyone know where? Also, do we take the Health Care Provider CPR training or the one for lay Responders??
Congrats to the people who got in!! I will see you on Orientation day!
