2014 CCP Nursing Program

Published

I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?

Congrats!! Next will be Orientation bu IDK when...keep us posted...thnx.

I am taking the AHT tomorrow. I can't wait until it is over, then I will just have to play the waiting game. So happy for both of you (Aleia and losrojaa19).

I was searching for information and found this forum. I did my AHT on November 25 as well and am waiting to hear if I got in. BlackmaleRN are you doing Eng 102 and A&P 1 during the day or at night. I am in the evening class. Good luck on the AHT bossyrobi, just keep an eye on the time, it can go by quickly before you even realize.

If anyone who made it to the program you can contact me at [email protected]

I'm taking them early morning, leuqcar. how many points do you have? congrats losrojaa19. I can't wait to see that letter in my mailbox. we should hear about more people as the waiting intensifies. they send out most of the acceptance letters in the end of February.

how did u feel after taking the aht exam

my daughter is trying to get in ccp nursing program and i am trying to guide her any suggestions

My suggestion is to take all the classes that is required for the program such as AP 1-2, Eng 101-102, Psych and Soc 101 and etc. prior to the application to nursing. The reason is thar Nursing classes are 7 credits and that is about 2 classes combined. Also, you have to consider clinicals schedule. I received my acceprance on Nov. I have one more semester to finish up other clasesse so fall 2014 I will only take Nursing 101.

Hi katrjac,

I just took the exam this week and I felt really good afterwards. I was definitely glad it was over and my anxiety of what the test would be like had subsided. The time is the most challenging thing but I prepared myself for that and it was not too bad. The hard part is waiting to hear afterwards.

Katrjac,

I agree with Aleia take all of the other courses first. That is what I have done as well so if I am accepted I will only have the nursing courses beginning in the fall. This is especially wise if you have a family or are working along with going to school.

she is so discouraged she got a c in AP and brought her gpa down to 3.33 she took the aht on the 17th and she also dropped a class last summer she took soc, csi, intro to psy, math 118. English 101 and 102 she is scheduled to take ap and spanish in the spring and diet in summer 1 but i was the one who told her to drop the math 118 she took it during her last year of high school and that drop hurt her gpa she said she did not finish the reading part of the aht she is 18 years old and i want to try to guide her the best way i know how do u think she need to take ap1 over again
