CCBC Spring 2022

Published

Hey guys! I’m starting this thread for any CCBC 2022 Spring nursing applicants. I recently submitted my application and would love to hear from others!!

My hope is that we all get in today!

CONGRATS!  The struggle/wait is real!

I didn't get in. Not sure why. But I am so happy for all of you!

Congrats to everyone☺️!!  I don't have a seat fee so that means I most likely did not get in! ?

Did you get the letter yet?

I got in as well!! Congrats everyone! I’m still waiting on Harford since it’s closer to me! But at least I know I finally got in! I’m so excited!

I’m in shock!!

What were everyone's stats? Anyone still in prerequisites? TEAS?

I am in A&P 2, COMNS 101, and ARTD 104 currently. My TEAS score was not so hot (68% overall with an 85% in reading) but my GPA was very high and I took the one nursing class they offer in the Summer/Winter

I’m finishing up A&P II, Micro, and ethics this semester. I got an 86 on my TEAS and my GPA is 3.6. @edtoBnurse I’m sorry you didn’t get in ? I honestly think it’s because the hybrid program is so small, not sure why it’s not just as big as the rest especially with as many people that have been applying. Don’t lose hope! Maybe consider a day program for the fall if that’s an option for you?

I told myself I would be OK if I didn't get in because my plan was to apply for the Fall anyway. However, I'm seeing that GPA really does matter....and not just in prerequisites. I have a Master's in Education so I am a returning student to CCBC. But my grades were pretty dismal 20 years ago haha There is no way I can retake other classes to boost my CCBC GPA.

I think I am just going to go ahead and apply to the Spring LPN program and then bridge over. If there is anyone out there who is reading this and wants to join me, let me know and I will start a GroupMe so we can stay in touch!

I am by no means bitter...I am actually OK. I just want to get this going instead of waiting 10 months until next September.

Good luck to you all! ?

edtoBnurse I agree that the hybrid program is just harder because it has limited seats.  Can you do the day program?

Anybody not able to pay their seat fee?  I see the fee, but when I go to pay it says amount due $0.00.

Yes this is happening to me too! I emailed the bursars office because I have leftover scholarships in limbo on my account and I’m guessing that may go toward the seat fee because they deducted $200 from what was on there before but then it says elsewhere that it hasn’t been paid. They haven’t gotten back to me though

I’m still in my prerequisites, CHEM 107 & 108, Ethics, and Math153. My TEAS score I got a 90.7% overall

What did you get on your TEAS?

I got a 78 on the TEAS with an 89 in reading. I also have all prerequisites completed with all B's, one A, and 1 C. It's just not meant to be. I can't do the day program right now so I can only do hybrid or evening/weekend in the fall. But they only take 40 total and it's the most competitive program so I guess I will stick to LPN for the Spring. I can't keep taking chances and not get in semester after semester ?
