CCBC application submitted. Anyone else playing the waiting game?

I submitted my application for Essex Day program- Spring 2014. I am pretty hopeful but nervous. I put all my eggs in the ccbc basket and didn't apply anywhere else. It is so convenient and so much cheaper than other places I really want to go there. But now I am thinking maybe I should have diversified a little.

It seems like a long road just to get to this point but it really is just the beginning.

Hey rubyagnes- We actually got out around 3. Orientation was good. I was thinking of you because at the end of our orientation 2 recent graduates came to speak to us. Someone asked about how long it took to get a job after passing the nclex. I think one said she graduated in May and got a job that summer. The other one said she was holding out for an ICU position which are hard to get and it took her about 7 months.

Oh man, well that's good! We also had two recent grads speak to us, but both hadn't found jobs yet! It was kind of awkward and discouraging. Hope we have better luck than that!

oh no! That is unsettling! I met several ccbc adn grads with jobs. Last semester I took nutrition and stats and there were several ccbc RNs in my classes preparing to go on for their BSN and they were all working so that is good. I remember 1 worked in psych at Shepherd Pratt, I can't remember where he others worked.

how recently had they graduated? do you know how long they had been looking for jobs?
