CCAC Spring 2010

Just curious if any who have applied have heard if they've been accepted to CCAC Nursing program for Spring 2010 admittance?

Also, does anyone out there know what the likelihood is of getting your fist choice?

Did the nursing office give you any other forms or info? I know i'm hoping we get them today or tomorrow!!!!

No I did not get any other forms or info from the nursing office. But for the past 2 days the phone at the north campus nursing office has only had a message no one is answering it. I have always gotten a person when I called there usually melissa anyway maybe it its because they are sending out all of the letters now and since we live here we should have them today or tmrw.......:D

Sooooo I just called and I actually got Melissa.....ladies you won't like what she said.....she received an email stating that everyone will receive their notification letter no later than Friday November 13th, 2009. Ok I jinxed myself! I just called the north campus to listen to the message again and Melissa answered. She said that unfortunately now it is pushed back to November 13th.:smackingf Ugh!!! She put me through to Janice who stated that the people who are accepted will be accommodated to get everything done. I am not sure that I trust that so I am going to stop by the nursing office at south again and ask for the list of vaccinations. Hopefully they will give it to me.............. Melissa did tell me that clearances are good for 2yrs. and that she sympathized with us but unfortunately could not do anything to help.

Thank you everybody who posted clearance information! I'm go and get the vaccine information tomorrow from the allegheny campus.

It really sucks that they aren't sending the letters until next friday but what do you think the reasoning is behind it? Can anyone guess why its taking them 3 weeks longer than expected??

Well i guess thats the latest everyone is supposed to get their letter, so you may get them sooner, they may give that late of a date, just to cover their butts. (Me being optimistic!) The only thing I can figure is that for whatever reason it is taking them longer to compile the master list which is what they send the letters from.

Ugggh I just want to know already!!!! :)

i feel your pain!!! i am sick of waiting too!!! i am trying to stay positive!!!!!! it is very hard!!! this is me::hdvwl::anbd::eek::sniff: i want so much to be this : :nurse: it feels like it is going to take me forever! it took so long to get to this point and now it feels like i am at a stand still!

I can not believe it is taking this long,I have been checking the mailbox everyday,when I talked to Shannon last (by email) she told me that the date was NOV 5. It was a while ago so I have not been on here lately. BTW Shannon is at CAL. Cal is my first and only choice since I live in Waynesburg. This is killing me. But she did tellme that once accepted she will be sending out a packet with all of the info needed and not to worry about scheduling as they take care of that (not sure if that is every campus or just Cal) I was concerned because registration for Spring semester at Cal started this week. Someone mention we needed a stethoscope, do we need that first semester? If we do I will be putting that on my Christmas wish list. LOL.

Is anyone else worried about paying for nursing school? I maxed out ALL of my fin aid on my BS degrees that I got from WVU. I have no idea how I am going to pay for this. I have a friend in the Fin Aid office at WVU and she told me there is all kind of Fin Aid for nursing students so as soon as I get my letter I will be making an appointment with the fin aid counselor at CCAC.

Good luck to everyone and please post when you get a letter so we know they are floating around out there.
