Applications are due on August 15th so I wanted to start the thread for all of us hoping to get in for the Spring 2014 semester! I'm currently taking Bio 110 (my last pre-req) and will send my application for Allegheny Evenings in on Thursday when my class is over. I have a BSBA already so I have all of the co-reqs done except Micro, A&P 1 &2. I probably won't get in because of it but my GPA is pretty decent so it's worth a shot anyway! Plus, with the changes in the point system it might work out. I'm taking Micro and A&P 1 this fall. I don't plan on applying anywhere else.
Anyone else? What are your stats? What campus did you select? Do you have any questions for the community?
Good Luck!
I usually get my mail around 11:30 and 1:30p.m. I am at work but I have someone checking to see if I got a letter from CCAC. But I will not know if I got accepted until after I get home at 5 p.m. I am surprised that there are not a lot o f people on her talking either. I cant take this wait...my stomach is turned and I cant even sit still !!!!!!
I'm nervous for you guys!!! But hang in there it says it takes up to two months! I really think they send them in waives because you have to accept your seat by a certain deadline and if not they move on to the next. And my letter also says if you don't get your desired choice they place you where seats need to be filled.
I didn't care to ask honestly but I was told by many ppl that they place the highest GPAS first with the added points. You really need those extra points. And the letter it's self said the same thing. I'm assuming they put everyone in order and they go down the line from highest to lowest and when ppl dont accept their seat by the deadline they move on to who else is next. There's ppl who got their letters at the end of the 2 months. Hang in there!!! pray on it and just wait it out.
Hello everybody and good luck too you all. I also applied to the CCAC nursing spring 2014 program and am waiting patiently for the mail since mrsralph updated her acceptance yesterday, congrats! The Allegheny evening program is my program of interest and I hope to see a letter from CCAC today when I make it home. I'll keep all of you posted!:)

I'm surprised there aren't others either. I know someone in my micro class last night got an acceptance letter too! I'm confused on how they are doing these letters. But just because you didn't get one yet doesn't mean you didn't get in. My fingers are crossed for the both of you! Did you guys put a second choice when you applied? I know they say do that just in case your first choice gets filled.
