I got accepted to the South Campus Evening program for the Fall 2014 start! I was wondering if any nursing students out there have any helpful tips on things that should be done prior to receiving the packet from the school? I'm so nervous and my stomach still is turning because I'm not sure what to expect and I waited so long for this and don't want to fail. What is the test you have to take that you only get 2 chances to take or they kick you out...is it something that I can study now and prepare for? Please any insight to this journey would be very helpful.

Does anyone know when we will receive our packets about all the stuff we need to do? I know it has to be done by a certain date and Im just still nervous about getting it all done.

I got in!!!! South evening program here I come....cant wait to meet everyone. The wait is finally over...every single time i look at my acceptance letter i tear up:) Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting.

wmr5 I really hope that we all get in this time around. I'm really hoping to earn that seat this time around...don't think I can get another rejection letter.

Has anyone applied as of yet? If so what are your GPA if you don't mind sharing. I have everything done that needs to be before you can apply even all my science courses...I have a 3.86 GPA. I got denied when I applied for Spring 2014 so I hope that Fall 2014 is my time. This has been the worst struggle of my life to get into nursing school as it probably is for many others. I wish you all the best of luck and lets hope to see acceptance letters in the near future.

How did your test go?...im going to have the same problem as you. I have that same book...did it help you? Did you use other methods or books? Please anything that you did to help you.

I am going to take the test at the end of October. I am so nervous...please help. I have the Mometrix study guide book. It seems to outline a little of everything. My weak points are math. Can you please tell me how the test was, was it mixed up questions or are they all separate sections. Did you run out of time on any sections? Is there anything you wish you would have known before you took the test? Are you aloud to take calculators? What kind of science, math should I study or focus on.

I'm taking the PSB for RN. My school requires it all and you have to score in the 75 percentile. I am going to purchase the book for RN and just study my butt off. I currently have literally every class done but the nursing classes. I hope that I do good im taking it at the end of October.

When did you take the PSB Test/what school? How long did you study for the test before you took it? Do the questions you don't answer count against you? I hate math and it makes me have anxiety I swear every time I think about it. Was the study book the same as the test was. Did you pass the first time around if you don't mind me asking? Anything you wish you would have done different that you didn't do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for all the questions.

what books did you get for the PSB test?

I am going to take my PSB test in October for the 1st time. I have applied to CCAC and didn't get accepted. I can't wait any longer to accepted into a school to finish my nursing dream. Please if anyone out there has taken this test recently can give me any advice. I am not to good in the math dept. and really have a lot a anxiety when I have to take a math test which in turn makes me do bad. I need to also know which study guide books where good or you felt were a lot like the actual test. Any study technics you thought helped, or any thing you wish you would have known before the test. PLEASE HELP...SO MUCH ANXIETY!!!!!!!!

wmr5- thank you for the encouraging words. I know deep down nothing will stop me from being a nurse. I have dreamed of this my whole life. I sit and think about if something was to happen and I couldn't become a nurse there is absolutely nothing that I can see myself doing nor want to do. I'm a wife, mother of 2, go to school full time and work full time. I have been struggling everyday of my life and know that if I am a nurse that the struggle will be worth it. I just hope God has answered my prayers and my acceptance letter has just taken a different route to my house and it will soon be there!

I really feel like all odds are always against me in every situation I'm put in. I really wish they would just send them out and notify me even if its to tell me that I didn't make it.
