CCAC FALL 2019 Hopefuls!

I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?

I hope everyone is continuing to progress through this frustration with CastleBranch.

I randomly decided to log in to my academic email and found an email about "MyclinicalExperience" which is how we'll go about getting badge through the Allegheny Health Network. There are also a few required education videos to complete and a few consent forms to mark off.

I didn't want anyone else to be caught off guard like I was. This stuff needs to be completed before clinicals start.

I'm going to Allegheny Day. Part of me is suspicious that this was an error since our first clinical is at a Kane nursing home, but with the lack of communication I don't think it'll hurt me to complete the modules early.

It may depend on your clinical site. Mine isn't AGH.

Mine isn't supposed to be AGH, I'm supposed to be starting at Kane Regional in Ross Township... I guess I'll be sending an email that'll never get answered lol.

Those who still don't have their Castle Branch stuff done my advice would be to call them. Ask to talk to a manager and tell them the situation. The rep will not want to connect you to a manager but be persistant. I did and all of my stuff was approved that day.

Wait how do you know your clinical site? Will they not tell you until your castlebranch stuff is complete? My TB was denied, as well as my Hep B ahhh

I still have Castlebranch stuff pending too. Still waiting on my Hep B to be reviewed. I was finally able to get someone at my old school to dig for me just in case my records didn't get destroyed like I was told and miraculously they found them!! I think it was because when I called one of my clinical instructors from back then (14 years ago) was still there and knew where they were stored. Everyone new thought they were gone. So I uploaded that on Monday and still waiting. My drug test hasn't come back either even though I did it last Friday. I'm getting irritated!! Also, no one from the school has returned any of my calls or emails and supposedly I have an LPN test I have to take and access to a website to prepare, but no one will call me to give me the information. I'm going there tomorrow bc obviously calling and emailing is pointless.

Those of you that ordered your uniforms already, how long did it take to get them in? I didn't have the money until today to order them and I'm worried mine won't be back in time for my first clinical.
