CCAC FALL 2019 Hopefuls!

Published

I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?

I'd e-mail her again. Can you think of any reason why it would be taking so long?

I’ve emailed her twice and haven’t gotten a reply yet. I don’t want to blow her email. The only thing I can think of is when I transferred from La Roche to CCAC I previously took A&P 1 and A&P 2 at La Roche but wanted to retake them at CCAC to freshen up my memory of the material. Biology wasn’t a prerequisite at La Roche for Anatomy. When I transferred to CCAC, 3 different advisors told me that because I had already taken both Anatomy 1 and 2 at La Roche, that counted as my prerequisite to retake it and that I did not have to take biology. I emailed her explaining that just in case that was the reason but haven’t heard anything.

I have every class done already including my humanities class. I'm currently in Anatomy 2 and taking Micro over the summer

One of them told me the chemistry I had was good even tho it didn't have a lab but that wasn't the case and I had to wait another semester to apply. But I'm pretty sure that if you took both AP1 and 2 then you don't have to take biology.

Another thing you may not realize is CCAC uses your cumulative GPA, which includes every class you've taken regardless if its nursing or not. This I know because my GPA would be higher if they didn't count all of my classes from when I transferred.

My gpa is very good. My college chemistry had a lab and I received an A in that class. I have everything else done which is why I’m very confused

You guys,

Look at the surprise I got in the mail this morning!! A congrats from a few family members!!! I’m so excited!!!

I love the colors so pretty!! Congrats again! I can’t wait until next year!

Nice! My Littman just disappeared. I'm hoping it turns up. Word to the wise. Go have it laser engraved and guard it with your life. Stethescopes (especially Littmans) have a way of growing legs & walking away.

A friend of mine didn’t hear until 5 o’clock yesterday, I spoke to the nursing office yesterday and they said a lot of people didn’t receive one yet and to please be patient because they’ve been having more problems with the system. Fingers crossed!! Thank you!

My informed delivery says I’m receiving a letter from ccac today I wonder if it’s the nursing packet for what we need to do over the summer (physical, background, etc)

Where do you get informed delivery?
