CCAC FALL 2019 Hopefuls!

I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?

I did not mean to freak you out if I did!! I have friends in the program at Allegheny who has friends that did the fast track and they all say it's hectic and crazy and that they felt like the professors at Boyce were not as helpful as they could have been. Some even dropped and just transferred to a different program.. But I hear a lot of things and I have done quite the research on professors and what not and everything looks fine to me. So I think the fast track program won't be a bad choice. ( I did accept my seat btw!, I also heard that you can possibly transfer to a different campus if seats are available only after you have completed your first sem of nursing where you are designated at!)

Looking at the program outlined, with the two days of class/lab, from my research it looks like NUR110&NUR120 are only available on Mondays, as for lab I am not sure if it would be two separate days or both labs the same day, and one day of clinical(8 hours) for the first sem, it seems crazy but I am for certain it is doable! It's all about time management of course and just what type of student you are. I do know you don't really get to choose your schedule? It's kind of chosen for you so once that is done, I am sure you'll be able to plan the days for your personal life with working full time. (I am in the same boat). If you'll be attending Boyce this fall, I am welcome to forming a study group of the sorts. It's good to make friends so you can lessen the stress a bit!

Awe!! Did you accept your seat? I will still second guess a little bit... but it'll be okay. We definitely got this!! I've been telling myself that all day, like "yeah I got this, it's fine, I'm fine". ? Maybe we can help each other when we are both second guessing ourselves in the fall?

You bet I took the seat. I am not passing up on the opportunity of going to nursing school. I heard that the last semester they only teach us how to play cards?♠♥♣♦.

Welp I'm screwed then bc I suck at cards. Must be why my current LPN job won't tell me where the break room is located ?

I'd e-mail her again. Can you think of any reason why it would be taking so long?

If you go into myccac under students than degree audit, it will say if you have everything you need.
