CCAC FALL 2019 Hopefuls!

Published

I'm putting this page up pretttty early but only because I'm excited lol. I wanted to create a place for those applying next spring for fall 2019 to start to be able to talk about our journeys as we finish pre reqs or Co reps(all non nursing courses)for those shooting for the fast track at Boyce like myself! I'm currently for finishing up a summer semester of intermediate Algebra, intro to psych, and English 102. In the fall I'll be taking A&P 2 and human development, then finish off all non nursing courses with A&P 2 in spring 2019 and microbiology in summer 2019 just before fall start 😊. Where are you at on your journey?

Hi everyone!!! Glad I was able to find this page! I definitely could have joined the pain when we were all waiting for the emails LOL! I was sadly suffering alone..

Congratulations on everyone getting in! I got in too! I got accepted into Boyce doing their fast track program. I have all of the pre-reqs done. I am currently at North campus though taking random classes to fulfill for this current semester because I didn't want this semester to go to waste! I wish I would have put North campus as my first choice.. because now I am freaking out about the fast track program. I hear horrible stories and I am psyching myself out to where I am staring at the buttons to where I decline or accept my seat. ?

What kind of horror stories have you heard about the fast track? I don't know anyone who has gone through CCAC's program, only WCCC (which doesn't offer a fast track). I am hoping to be able to also work full-time, which is why I wanted the fast track so badly. Please share everything you know or have heard! It's my understanding that there is class twice a week and clinical once a week. How bad could that be?

From what I heard from people in the fast track program is that the only difference is you go to school through the summer which is why you graduate early. Otherwise it’s the same curriculum as the regular nursing program. I am sure everyone in it will be fine. Every one always has there nursing horror stories of failing out. We just all need to study hard and try not to let life get in the way.

Hey congrats to all that got accepted! I’ll be applying next year! Does anyone know how the classes work? Like the clinicals, lecture, and lab go? I was looking at the classes trying to understand how they organize it. I got really confused.

Is anyone else still waiting to hear back or am I the 'last of the Mohicans'?

First semester: 2 classes, 110 and 120. 110 is lecture, lab, and clinical. 120 is lecture and lab. Hope that helps!

?

I emailed AR again to see if there are any updates. I think I'll get kicked out for being annoying.
