CCAC Fall 2014 Applicants

I am starting a new thread for the upcoming application process for CCAC fall 2014 nursing admissions. I applied for the sping 2014 cohort and was declined due to my gpa, but now I'm hopeful for my first choice for the fall! I can't wait to get the application process started and wish the rest of you the best of luck!!

You will have to get your titers drawn to see what you need and don't need, that's what my doctor did. I had all my titers done already so the only thing I had to up load was the results showing the anti body present. My doc then had blood drawn again specifically for my Hep b and C I was non reactive to C so I uploaded those results but I did not have a vaccination for hep b. It's a three series vaccination one right there one 30 days after and 1 6 months after. I'm finally finishing my third series, so as long as they see you are in progress with it and you have things done by the date they say they are due on the website you will be fine. After the third shot you have to get blood work showing the antibody and upload that as well, and again they will set a date for when that is due. Once you get on certified profile you will see exactly everything you need to do along with all the forms you need to print and what you need to upload.

and when you receive your packet that's when you'll know when things are due and the deadlines. You just have to wait for your packet to come. As I mentioned earlier they will not except anything if it's dated BEFORE you received your packet they want everything up to date and accurate.

I have been trying to find the same information about Fast Track, please update if you do find out. I was also accepted into Boyce Fast Track for Fall :)

Has anyone received a packet yet? I sent in my acceptance via mail and I'm super paranoid that it didn't get delivered or something. Also for those of you going to Boyce Fast Track which class options are you trying to get?

I'm doing Boyce fast track also! I sent my acceptance via priority mail so I could track it and I'm still worried. It didn't help that I got a call from CCAC today saying I needed to call them ASAP, it was very important to talk to them today (they wanted to remind me I am taking a summer class :/). I would like to get option #1 or #2 (Monday and Tuesday classes) but any days would work for my schedule. Which ones were you trying to get? We might get our packets at orientation.

I was also feeling paranoid about my letter being delivered. I have not received anything else in the mail. I was thinking maybe that will all come after orientation on Monday? Which summer class are you taking?

I'm taking English Composition 2, hopefully my last non-nursing class. Looking at the old boards it seems like the packets don't go out until after appeals, do we know when the last day for those are? For those already in the program, is the BLS for healthcare providers that the safety institute at CCAC runs good for our CPR? I signed up for the May 9th class and wanted to make sure there wasn't anything weird with the requirement.

I'm liking the #4 or #5 options. That would probably be the best for my schedule.
