Be careful about starting a facebook page, the dean of nursing had a talk with moderators of a facebook page last semester.

I wouldn't worry about not have the hep B series done. I know ad least 10 people in my class are still working on it, including myself. As long as you can show you started it then you can start the first semester.

Be careful buying used books, all three bundles came with codes for different websites that you will need or find very helpful. ATI is required online access (you will have an ATI test you need to pass to proceed to 130/140). Prep u is helpful, especially for 120. You can buy the books else where ( I got mine off of amazon for ~900) just make sure they still have the codes.

Recommendations or any extra info (awards, employment) that is not on the application form are not recommended. According to people from the nursing dept I talked to last year, none of the extras are considered when the decisions are being made. 2. When you started college was it at CCAC? If not according to application: "If 12 or more college level credits were taken through CCAC, CCAC GPA will be used exclusively." As long as your CCAC GPA is good you should be fine. 3.As for the different campuses, I know that Boyce has the fast track program only in the Fall (nights and weekends 18-months) and the day program in the Spring. South has day and evening programs but only accepts students in the Fall, North only has a day program that admits in the Fall. Allegheny I believe has evening and day programs that admit both fall and spring cohorts. As far as schedules for an actual week will vary from person to person. I currently have lectures on Monday(everyone has lecture the same day), labs on Tuesday and Clinical on Wednesday. But there are some people in my class that have lab on Saturday and clinical on Wednesday.

I just took my drug test, they didn't ask about anything but on the receipt it says they will contact you about prescriptions or over the counter drugs you may be taking if the results are positive.

did anyone here about mandatory education at UPMC? Apparently at the North campus orientation they said about needing to do training at UPMC and it's due August 8th.

If you have a legal prescription I don't think they can say anything as long as you self report the chance of the test coming up positive. If they would kick you out of the program then it could be considered discrimination against a disability. The last time I took a drug test at quest I needed to fill out paper work and it had a spot for drugs you are currently taking, but it might be different so I would take the prescription with me just to be safe.

Oh, my schedule has both lectures on Monday, then the 2 labs on Tuesday and my clinical is on Wednesday. I thought the lectures were together on Monday for everyone.

I think based on how the women signing us up for classes said you need to have the lab before going to clinicals. So if your first lab is on Saturday the 23rd then you shouldn't have clinical until the 27th. That sucks with the money order, my office usually doesn't charge unless you need proof of it being cashed. I wonder if we're doing it wrong or they are.
