U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hello All,

I am starting a new thread for the upcoming application process for CCAC fall 2014 nursing admissions. I applied for the sping 2014 cohort and was declined due to my gpa, but now I'm hopeful for my first choice for the fall! I can't wait to get the application process started and wish the rest of you the best of luck!!

I will be going to south campus and didn't hear anything about this. Anyone else from south have any info?

I'm going to south evening program and i have never heard of it, that's why i thought she received info in the mail.

Ok glad to know I'm not alone. Maybe it is campus specific then. I was in the hospital on the day we had our orientation and thought maybe I missed this part when I met with them later.

Weird. Maybe that is campus to campus. Seems to weird to me how it can be different like that. Like North campus was very organized and we even got all our book info but I know Boyce was complete opposite.

We have another orientation on the 13th if they don't mention it I definitely will.

I didn't know about the orientation on the 13th. Did they mention that at the first one or did u receive info by mail. I'm really having bad luck with these. I'll be on vacation that day.

It was in a yellow sheet we received at the forst orientation. We will get onto about clinical supposedly then.

Information about our clinicals.

Hey South Students: If you did not get the info for the UPMC mandatories - go to the link the previous poster put up and DO THEM!!! Even if you don't know for sure where you will be, just do them anyway! CCAC is notorious for getting your email wrong then blaming you for not being prepared....(Senior student here, trust me!) You will get more help and direction on this site and sooner than you will from the school. We lost our contracts over the summer from a couple clinical sites - it happens all the time (I spoke with the faculty this weekend) but UPMC sites will still be used. It can't hurt to do them and you will actually learn something, even if you get placed at stinky Jefferson. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Print them out and take them to clinical the first day. You won't have to worry about it the third week when everyone else is frantic to get their first assignment in.

See my post dated today, or JUST DO THEM. Before clinical starts.

Anyone attending south know if the prep u for taylor is just an access code we need?

I'm no help, sorry. I can't charge out books til the 15th i assume because I recieve student loans for this semester. Maybe ask on Wednesday when we have 2nd orientation.
