Hello All,

I am starting a new thread for the upcoming application process for CCAC fall 2014 nursing admissions. I applied for the sping 2014 cohort and was declined due to my gpa, but now I'm hopeful for my first choice for the fall! I can't wait to get the application process started and wish the rest of you the best of luck!!

I think the more places you've lived the longer it takes. I think mine took three.

I started mine on May 17 and it was completed on the May 20 :) it's really fast ..

If anyone has gone to do their medical stuff at the health department how much was it? And exactly what do they do? I'm curious as to how a doctor can establish whether or not you can lift 50 pounds. I know that that titers are $15 each but what about the actual physical?

I'm not sure you can get the physical done at the health dept. I know you can go to some where like med express or Walgreens to get a physical done, it's usually $20-$50. Med Express has a $20 sports/school physical right now.

Does anyone know if on the health examination form if we write anything where it says "Titer:" I thought maybe we name the titer but the name of it is at the top of the box.

That is asking whether your titer results were + or -. But your doctor's office should be filling that out not you, and they should know what to put there based on your blood-work results.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I figured it was for that and my doctor did check off the negative part. I'm just being paranoid.

Does anyone know if you can get the 2nd hep B shot at a different clinic?

Yes you can, you just need to let the 2nd clinic know and have proof of the 1st shot. I had my first hep b shot done at the health department and my 2nd at Concentra because my health insurance would not cover it at the health department but would at Concentra.

Does anyone know if there are 3 different PPD tests? Or is it just 2? The forms on Certified Profile are a bit confusing.
