CCAC Fall Applicants 2013

CCAC just posted the application packet for the fall 2013 nursing program. Just wondering who else is applying. I have all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs done except for micro which I am taking this semester along with medical terminology and infection control. I'm also applying to St. Margret's. Anyone else?

I was so obnoxious during the application process that I hate to call and bug them lol. Funny story though, I was calling around last week to see where I could get my drug test done and what it was going to cost. So I call a certain lab ( name withheld) and this is how my conversation went.

Me: Hi I need to have a drug test done.

Person at Lab: Is this a court ordered drug test?

Me: No, it's for nursing school.

Person on Phone: Do you need the drug test supervised?

Me: What do you mean be supervised?

Person on phone: Well we would have to watch you give the sample.

Me: Umm, I would assume not.

Person on the Phone: Well we only do court ordered drug tests.

Why didn't they just say that to begin with. On the other hand I have three small children so technically I haven't gone to the bathroom unsupervised in years lol.

Anyone know where I can get my drug test done?

Lmao that is so funny , smh I know concentra and urgent care for 65 they also do physicals and MMR for 30 !!!! Just give urgent care a call

Concentra charges $65 for the drug test. That's where I got mine done at.

Titers are $15 each at the health dept. Immunizations are free if you don't have insurance.

UPS charges $28 for the FBI fingerprinting.

Criminal background is $10 and is done online.

Child Abuse clearances are $10 money order only and mailed to the dept of public welfare.

UPMC Urgent Care charges $30 for a physical.

I bought my Littman stethoscope on eBay for $65.

1 uniform set cost $65 without shipping. You can also pick up in their store to avoid shipping costs.

CPR at CCAC cost $50....cheapest I found.

Anything else you guts need to know??

Lol don't be and FYI orientation for allegheny day is may 6 and allegheny night on the 13 way to fast lol!!!!

I hope I get mine. Im at Allegheny night but im in the lpn to rn. So I dont know when my orientation is going to be.
