CCAC Fall Applicants 2013

CCAC just posted the application packet for the fall 2013 nursing program. Just wondering who else is applying. I have all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs done except for micro which I am taking this semester along with medical terminology and infection control. I'm also applying to St. Margret's. Anyone else?

I believe sometime this week we guys, someone at the school said they had to get our confirmation letters first so I hope starting this week coming !!!

I hope so too. I really wsnt to know how this new LPN to Rn is going to work.

I was in the Lpn to Rn program in 2011 and then my mom got terminally ill so I dropped out. I did do one of the drug cal tests. It was very easy. I think I have the practice test thet gave me. I will try to scan it in and send it to you. Do u have an emai l

Yeah deftly I'll try to msg u on here thanks!!! I also met some ccac nursing students today , they were doing clinicals and they said that the program was much better but we shall see!

Hi i got accepted to south campus day program too!! I didn't receive anything yet.. I am still waiting. I am anxious and excited at same time too!! Keep in touch..

I was just browsing CCAC's website and they updated our possible clinical sites (for the better, at least for the Boyce students). Did anyone get a packet yet?

Lol nope I did call the dean of students and they said sometime this week !!!!

I was so obnoxious during the application process that I hate to call and bug them lol. Funny story though, I was calling around last week to see where I could get my drug test done and what it was going to cost. So I call a certain lab ( name withheld) and this is how my conversation went.

Me: Hi I need to have a drug test done.

Person at Lab: Is this a court ordered drug test?

Me: No, it's for nursing school.

Person on Phone: Do you need the drug test supervised?

Me: What do you mean be supervised?

Person on phone: Well we would have to watch you give the sample.

Me: Umm, I would assume not.

Person on the Phone: Well we only do court ordered drug tests.

Why didn't they just say that to begin with. On the other hand I have three small children so technically I haven't gone to the bathroom unsupervised in years lol.

Anyone know where I can get my drug test done?

Supposedly they list a few places to get tested in the packets. Not sure if they will be the reasonably priced ones! I know for previous semesters, you can't be tested more than 30 days before you start the program itself. I haven't gotten my packet for north campus either.
