CCAC Fall Applicants 2013

CCAC just posted the application packet for the fall 2013 nursing program. Just wondering who else is applying. I have all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs done except for micro which I am taking this semester along with medical terminology and infection control. I'm also applying to St. Margret's. Anyone else?

I have no idea. I just mailed out the form indicating that I'm accepting admission. I know you have to have a criminal background check which you can do online for $10, you have send for your child abuse clearance also $10, and get you FBI clearance which is around $28. You'll need your CPR certification also. This stuff you can do now. There are also other stuff we have to do like drug test and physical but in going to wait until I get more info.

Ok great thnx so much for the info but I also work at west penn as a CNA and I hope I can use my drug test and physical from them !!!!

Congrats to everyone!!! My GPA was 3.2 and all prerequisites done only nursing courses left!!!! I have a question about CPR certification where can i get one or how ???

I just took my CPR course at ccac yesterday. I think they have another one in May. Go to CCAC Central and look it up in the non-credit section. Hope this helps!

I think you can also look on the red cross website. It's a tad more expensive though.

Does anyone know that color scrubs we wear for the CCAC program?

Hi! I got my acceptance letter Thursday for Allegheny Evening! I'm excited to start! I can't remember who was asking, but I had a 3.73 GPA, and got most of my pre- and co-reqs out of the way (only Micro and the 2 English classes left after this semester).

No -- I'm still so happy and relieved about getting my first choice, that I hadn't given much thought to when that would happen (and with CCAC, in my experience, it's hard to tell)! I imagine they'll either send the packets out after they receive each person's confirmation paper, unless they hold them all until after the April 19 confirmation deadline and send them all at once! After poking through some old threads on this board, it seems that they came in pretty quickly for most folks in previous semesters. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon!

Yeah I agree, I hope with they send then soon so I can get this show on the road !!!! I am relieved too because evening was my first choice as well , so yes I can finally breathe lol and also looking forward to meet you as we'll have a good week !

Im an LPN and they just changed the bridge program. So I got my letter on Sat for Fall Allegheny evenings. First year second semester. NUR 130& 140. Any other LPN's on here ? The letter said we wouldn't do clinicals till last semester. Not sure how this is going to work.
