CCAC Fall Applicants 2013

CCAC just posted the application packet for the fall 2013 nursing program. Just wondering who else is applying. I have all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs done except for micro which I am taking this semester along with medical terminology and infection control. I'm also applying to St. Margret's. Anyone else?

So when we order the drug test online for 55$ do we still have to pay when we go get it done?

No, you do not have to pay for it. The price is included in the certified profile fee. There's a barcode on the paper you print out so you don't even have to do paper work. It was pretty easy.

As a side note: I am so glad to have everything done. Now I just have to buy books, yuck!

I am, have you heard anything about the how the program is going to be different this term? They supposedly changed things.

I haven't heard about changes that are bad. I did hear they were changing to help booster/improve student achievement or success rate. I've heard a lot of good about the program. I needed the evening/weekend schedule and I'm hoping its all good! Just trying to get books right now, I've found best price @ Barnes & Noble so far.

I'll have to check Barnes and Noble, I always use Amazon I'm a sucker for free shipping and fuel perks. Were you able to get your choice of schedules in the lottery at registration?

Hey fast track peeps...does anyone know what kind of breaks we get throughout the 18 months? I know we go straight through summer but is it a week for Christmas and days off for other holidays? Not that I'm planning any major events until 2015 lol

I'm starting fast track at Boyce, too. The only changes I've heard about are from the letter they emailed: the grading scale and admission requirements.
