CCAC Fall Applicants 2013

CCAC just posted the application packet for the fall 2013 nursing program. Just wondering who else is applying. I have all of my pre-reqs and co-reqs done except for micro which I am taking this semester along with medical terminology and infection control. I'm also applying to St. Margret's. Anyone else?

As far as our schedule goes I think our breaks are the same length as the other campus's, we just have the shorter summer semester. I may be wrong though.

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding the books. I called the bookstore and they said that the Lipincott bundle is over $350, that is not even including two other books that we need. I can get ALL the books for the first semester brand new online for a little over $300. I'm wondering if I am going to be missing out on anything included in the "bundle" such as codes, if I go with getting everything online sep. It's just so much cheaper then going through the bookstore. Thanks so much!!

I guess the book lists must be different depending on the campus, I wish I had your book list lol.

In regards to preparing for orientation tomorrow: Has anyone heard/read anything about what we need to bring? I'm planning on bringing a notebook/folder/pen, iPad, and a snack, but I have received no specifics from CCAC. Anyone else have any ideas?

That sounds like the list I'm bringing! I can't find my paper that says what time to be there, lol. Does anybody know what time it starts tomorrow?

I'm taking a notepad and a pen, I would consider anything else to be over-kill. That's just me though.

Orientation is from 4 until 7 in the Auditorium (S440) Performance hall.

Where did you find the Lipincott bundle for $300? I looked on ccac's online bookstore and it said almost $600! The Lipincott website has it for $462.

There are items listed on the bookstore website (for Boyce) that are not on the book list we were given at registration: HESI Case Studies ($68.95) and ATI ($209.75 and backordered).

The Lippincott package is also different: the booklist we were given lists ISBN 9781469842851 and the online bookstore lists ISBN 9781469850139. It's all the same except for one item; the Assessment Video Series (9781608310951) is replaced by Nursing Health Assessment Online (9781451118827).

Can someone please let me know what pharmacology book is in the bundle for Allegheny campus. They won't open the bundle at school and that's the only book I need. Thanks

Hello wondering if anyone knows exactly what to print out when we watch the videos hand washing and ergonomics. There is no certificate at the end of the tutorials????
