CCAC Fall 2012 Applicants

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Published

Hello,

Is anyone else in the process of applying for CCAC for fall? Right now I'm waiting for the office to finish pulling up all of my transcripts and paperwork so that I can turn in my application. I'm doing the LPN to RN, so if I get accepted I should be graduating with the class that is currently in the program. Anyone else doing LPN to RN? I'm hoping to be accepted at Allegheny. That's where I've done all of my prereq classes. My second choice is South Campus.

I see. Thanks .. I'm going to allegheny I'm sure its similar but I haven't recieved my packet yet...it better be here tomorrow or Monday ..I'm anxious lol

Thanks for the encouragement . she would not tell where i was on the list. just that if i didn't hear by June 30th then i didn't make it.

Also i have 2 accept wherever it is. so i wanted to go @ night. then i would have boyce if that where the opening is. eventhough i live by airport & would get stuck in traffic. amber basically tried to get me to go to another school or apply in the summer. idk

It is very competitive with lots of applications. Like I had stated on here somewhere, my daughter had a 4.0 and a 3.9 in high school but is taking a/p I now so no extra points. When I applied I had a 4.0 and an extremely high pax score. When they got rid of the pax, it threw a wrench in the works.

From what I understand they increased the number of seats at each campus. When they tell you that not everyone will graduate the program, it is true. Don't let that discourage you. Just make it so YOU DO graduate. It is hard and it is vigorous.

Sewnmom ..are you getting my pm's because when I go to sent messages it says zero ...I don't want you to think I am ignoring you ..I got my acceptance letter for Allegheny evenings on may 2nd just waiting for the packet now :)

I finally got my letter. Ugh. im qualified but didn't get in. i called amber & im on a waiting list. i have a 3.1 gpa took a&p 1 & micro. im currently in ap2. I even passed the pax. exam with 89 percentile. yes i know it' not used anymore. So frustrated wwith ccac
I have my fingers crossed for you a friend of mine got her letter and it simply said there were not enough seats even though she met the requirement... did they automatically put you on a wait list or did you have to ask? I hope that you get in you never know!

I will be Boyce day! Very excited to go to scheduling day. I've got my physical already, titers drawn, and go back in for part 2 of my TB test on Monday!

did you have to get titers drawn even if you have records of immunization?

I would suggest getting them. You are exposed to lots of nasty things.

My records were all complete but my dr did the titers and I was not immune to two of the things. Well worth the test. I would let the doctor make the decision.

No they automatically place you on the list. there are 265 people in the same position. thank you Kay0324
