Hello,
Is anyone else in the process of applying for CCAC for fall? Right now I'm waiting for the office to finish pulling up all of my transcripts and paperwork so that I can turn in my application. I'm doing the LPN to RN, so if I get accepted I should be graduating with the class that is currently in the program. Anyone else doing LPN to RN? I'm hoping to be accepted at Allegheny. That's where I've done all of my prereq classes. My second choice is South Campus.
I also got rejected, I am currently in A and P2 which ended today, and i am taking micro in the summer. I am completely finished with all my maths, english, Psy, Chem, and my 3 credit elective. I just dont understand. Iam completely bummed out! But I am going to reapply in Aug for spring 2012. Just wondering how many people they actually take in the spring. I know in the fall they accept more. CROSSING FINGERS!!!
If it is any consolation, I was talking to some staff members and they told me that this time they had more applications then ever before. They said each semester they seem to get more and more. The elimination of the PAX test made that number go up even more. They are working on putting some kind of test into place.
They got rid of net & replaced with the pax. they should have had it in place already. do you think it will be the psb?If it is any consolation, I was talking to some staff members and they told me that this time they had more applications then ever before. I dont think they know yet. The PAX was said to discriminate against international students. It was a weed out tool for sure because of the broad spectrum of science it went over. It had physics and earth science on it - neither are in the pre-requisites for nursing (like bio, chem, math are).
A test would definitely cut down the number of final applicants.

You do have to go to the scrub fitting (at least for Boyce); it's during the registration session, which is mandatory. I'm likely not buying my scrubs that day, though, because I doubt I'll have the money yet.
