Hi I just wanted to say hi! I am in the Cal day program as well and I am soo excited! I can't wait to start classes and meet all of you I feel so stressed about getting everything in on time! All of your information has been soo helpful thank youu!

What time is everyone planning on going to the uniform fitting/registration next Friday. My son has a Dr. appointment at 10 am hoping to be out of town by noon getting me to campus around 1pm. Will anyone else be there around that time? Would love to meet up with you if you will be there at the same time.

I have to go to the fitting/scheduling right at 9 am because I am leaving to go out of town for a swim meet around 11, I wish I could go later I would love to meet you all too!

i'm thinking noonish. registration is just picking up your schedule, so there is little benefit to being there at opening. So you know, there are 92 student nurses accepted into the CALU Spring 2010 program. I am guessing at times it will be busy. 92 faces to know... I hope... hope... I am not the only male... I will really stick out.

Ok for the fingerprinting registration I have a few questions.

Do we check the box for paper fingerprinting that is $4?

Do we list childcare employment or employment with the liklihood of contact with children, as the reason for fingerprinting?

On my paper from Shannon it says check the Department of Welfare box where is that? If it is on the next page let me know as I have not gotten past the first page and since there is this 3 week time crunch I don't want to mess this up.

Hi Lesli, You do not need paper finger printing, you list employment with the liklihood of regular contact with children, after you choose PA there should be a choice for either DPW, department of education or department of banking. choose dpw...........

I will probably be there in the morning after the kids leave for school. I would have liked to meet everyone. Maybe right before or right after the holidays we can plan a day to get together for lunch, dinner or drinks. So that we can all meet before class starts.............Betty

I don't think that you will be the only male, but if you are you will be ok. You will have all of us from all nurses... So don't worry............. :icon_hug:

hi everyone! i just wanted to say happy thanksgiving!! i am thankful that i got into the nursing program & i got my 1st choice (calu) too! now that thanksgiving is here, christmas is around the corner and before you know it we will be starting nursing classes! :yeah: :yeah: i can't wait to meet everyone! i hope to run in to some of you on december 4th.

It's been a while! Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving, I know I ate a lot!! :bugeyes: I am going to get my 1st PPD read today, and the second we have to wait 21 days for? Are they nuts?? Theres no way thats even possible! *sigh* I guess I'll just take the paper back from the Dr. (since they kept it). Hope to see some of you on Friday! Take care!

it is a max of 21 days, a min of 10 days.

I got mine on the 20th and today I am getting the 2nd read (10 days).
