Are we suppose to pass all the categories to pass the whole test?

Many prayers for me are needed (: I'm trying really hard to stay calm and not panic. Still consistently getting in the 50s (mid-50s) on my kaplan practice questions :( I am also not a morning person, but unfortunately the only time available for me to take the test is morning. All the other appointments are packed! But I don't mind getting the test done early so I can relax and cry the rest of the day haha.

Don't look at this numbers to mean anything. I failed twice using Kaplan as it simply wasn't working for me. Instead pay attention to the rationales and collect data and knowledge through that. Most importantly stay positive...you will be crying tears of Joy!!!! You are in my prayers.

Thanks for all your support! Some of the Kaplan QBank questions I find are absolutely ridiculous with the most vague rationales and explanations. It can be frustrating when I study these questions. I'm also using NCSBN, and i'm trying to fit NCLEX 3500 and doing as many questions as I can from there. I still haven't finished reading the Kaplan content book and I'm thinking of just ditching it and practicing question after question after question in all three sources: Kaplan, NCLEX 3500, and NCSBN. THe Kaplan content is helpful, but most of the questions go beyond than just knowing the content. So I may stop reading the book a few days before the test and for maybe three days straight just practice a bunch of questions!

I'm scared about SATA, because I almost always get those wrong! IF push comes to shove and I run out of time, I'm gonna just look at NCLEX 3500 alternate format and review Kaplan and NCSBN questions.....

@NurseJTG me too, i took the exam last April 8 2013 and unfortunately i failed :( i used Kaplan too and for me it wasn't effective. So, what did you use as resources after failing? I really need help because i would really want to pass this when i take it again :(( thank you!

Hey there! How did you study kaplan? What makes you think kaplan didn't work for you? I'm using kaplan right now and sticking to it till my exams. I'm studying for like 4hours a day. My grades are not even high! I'm so anxious for my upcoming exam and planning to get Saunders book if incase it won't work for me.

I purchased Saunders too. I believe that that helped me more than Kaplan. I don't know, maybe the professor wasn't that effective for me. :( when are you taking your exam?

@mimimaramo I'm taking mid next month and my scores are still in the 50s.:shy: what was your scores in kaplan/saunders before taking the nclex? I purchased live on demand. do you plan to take the exam anytime soon?

I'm in the 50s too. A lot of people tell me not to worry too much about scores and to focus more on the rationales! I know people who got 40s on kaplan questions yet passed nclex with 75 questions!

I got 50s and 60s in the qtrainers and qbank. What's live on demand? Yes, when i receive my att again, in going to take it asap. I really want to achieve this already :(
