First and foremost, living here in CA is not cheap! I do not know where you will find cheap housing for 8 months. Most landlords want a one year lease, but there are a select few out there that will go month to month.

Carrington is expensive! I believe that the program is anywhere from $40K - $60K, but not sure. I would call the campus and ask the admissions rep for the info you are requesting. They do offer Pell grants and loans, but I know for a fact that all the tuition will not be covered in the Pell and loans which means you will have to pay out of pocket.

I looked into the LVN program and the bridge program and the total of both programs came to $150k! Even though I took the Medical Assisting program there 10 years ago ($14K), I was shocked by the cost and left the office...lol.

I would look into other LVN to RN bridge programs before investing your time and money into this program. There is an online LVN to RN program offered by The College Network that you might want to check out as well.

Best of luck to you on your decision.

Yes, I know CA is not cheap Im from CA. I was wondering if someone know of some places that would rent month to month. I found out through Carrington catalog that the LVN to RN program is 36,000. Iam ok with that I just wanted to know how the program works. Far as the college network I know is not a school it is a publishing company. Excelsior is not accepted in CA. ISU lvn to bsn Im not sure if I would be able to find a clinical location. It would also take about 3 years to finish Im 38 yrs old I don't have that kind of time, also Im not working right now. I can't hold out too much longer without working, so thats why I looking at the expensive 8 month program.
