  1. Louisiana Tech College is about 650.00, your in theory for 10 weeks then there is a 2 weeks clinical. I qualified for pell grant so it wass free. Class was 8- 930 m-f. Classes filled up pretty fast. The cna class does count toward your lpn. I took a compass test I believe it was 5.00 dollars. You also that your cpr class while in theory.

  3. It was basic prealgrebra just study up on that go to library and get some dvd to help you and a book from there and you will be all right
  4. I went for 5 days a week 8- 930 for 10 weeks and the 2 weeks clinical from 7-3. We had a test very two weeks, we then had to turn in 2 chapters in our study guide. The test we did a review before and test the next day. Very easy. Must student have jobs
  5. Try the nursing homes they sometime offer the program there was one here in LaPlace that had training I think you had to just buy the books. I can't think of the name it is located across the street from st. Joan of arc school
  6. Oh there is a school in Metarie I believe I think it was 4 or 5 weeks. It's listed in the local newspaper under school/ training I found a few it that are for around 600.00
  7. Iam taking CNA, ekg, phelbotomy at Louisana tech. I will finish my clinical on Dec. 5th

  9. Yes, I know CA is not cheap Im from CA. I was wondering if someone know of some places that would rent month to month. I found out through Carrington catalog that the LVN to RN program is 36,000. Iam ok with that I just wanted to know how the program works. Far as the college network I know is not a school it is a publishing company. Excelsior is not accepted in CA. ISU lvn to bsn Im not sure if I would be able to find a clinical location.It would also take about 3 years to finish Im 38 yrs old I don't have that kind of time, also Im not working right now. I can't hold out too much longer without working, so thats why I looking at the expensive 8 month program.
  10. Hi, I wanted to know are any current or past students of the lvn to rn program. I justed wanted to get some information on the school. Iam out of town and will be returning to CA, so Im unable to attend the information session right now. 1. what are the days and times for theory? 2. what are the days and times clinical? 3. I know its 8 months so is it one course a month? 4. Are there things that I need to brush up on before I start? 5. what is the class work like? 6. what is the total cost of the program? I hope to recieve a pell grant 7. Iam also looking for housing where is a go inexpensive place to live for the 8 months? 8. would you recommend this program? any other info that you feel I might need. Thanks
  11. Iam also from california,and was interested in the program. What step do you have to take to endrose your CA LVN? Is there a waiting list for program? What was you schedule while you were in school? Will CA accept the lpn to rn program?

  14. Iam trying to line me classes up so that when i leave excelsior it will be easy to go into a bsn program. I was wondering if chamberlain accept clep and excelsior exam?
