So, the Flex path is 10 weeks. How quickly were able to finish one course and proceed to the next? I'm just trying to get all the help I can. Sorry if I'm asking too much.

Flex path is self-paced, you pay $2500 every 12 weeks, no matter how many courses you finish in that 12 weeks. Each course is between 3-5 assessments (papers/powerpoints) I think one might be 6 assessments but I haven't gotten to that one yet. I usually finish one assessment a week, so if a course has 4 assessments it usually takes me a month. So I had 12 courses, should be done in about 12 months.

Delynn ADN were there any classes in the flex path that you thought were harder than the others? Or are they all along the same lines of difficulty? I'm in the flex path program and I'm in my sixth class. I was just curious about future classes.

They are pretty much the same, lots of researching evidence-based information. I'm just starting pharmacology, but reading it over it doesn't seem too bad.

thank you for your insight

I've been in the Capella Flex-path Rn-Bsn since last May. they have "cores" for gen ed requirements, six credits in math/sci, six credits in humanities, six in Writing and six in social sciences, they don't care which particular class it is, as long as you have six credits from each core . I only had to take a Humanities course, I took bio-ethics. Then the 11 nursing courses. I like the flex-path option, it's completely self-paced, no discussions or group projects. Just papers and power points. I'm almost finished with my 9th class. Hoping to be finished in May. I only take one course at a time, when you finish one you just move on to the next.

hello,

I just applied to Capella's RN to BSN program and hopefully will starts in May 7. the orientation starts this friday 4/7. i want to know, if the orientation part of the 12 weeks or the school doesnt bill the 12 weeks course until i start on May 7? another question is, you mention about i can start the next course as soon as i get one class done. do i have to wait for the class or this is just all about me. i am working part time right now, do you think its doable to finish the course within 6 months? thanks in advance for answering my questions .

Are you in the traditional format or the flexpath? When I started flexpath the first course was the orientation to bachelor's course. It was just like the other courses. When I was nearing the end of a course (1 paper left) I would email my coach and ask her to enroll me in my next course, that way I could start that right away while I waited for my final grade. Working part-time it might be doable in six months, it took me 11 months but I moved twice and started a new job where I had to work full time for 6 weeks.

i enrolled to the flex-path program. so the orientation is part of the 12 weeks cycle? because my enrollment counselor told me that i will have 1 month to finish the orientation and my program actually will starts in next month. so i am confused whether going to bill me starting april 7th (my orientation) or May. thanks again for answering the question

Not sure if they changed it since i started, they may have added an orientation that is separate from the program. Your coach should be able to answer if the billing starts with that or in May with your first course. My first course was called orientation to baccalaureate nursing. Sounds like the orientation is a new thing.

yea, i think thats my first class as well but the enrollment counselor just called it short. it gives me a month to finish it. so i dont know if thats the new protocol for the school or as you mention, that could be my first class. i have to find out from the prof today if i have to. thanks again!

Can anyone comment on the clinical practicums and how these are set up-how long does it take to get it set up, does the school help you find them?

The RN-BSN doesn't have any clinical component.
