i was wondering if there are any well used canadian nursing forums. i have signed up for one of i think it was 'canadian nursing student forums' or something like that but there is not as many people on that forums and no one really reply's to your questions. i really like this forum but i find that they don't really have much of a choice for canadian topics. from what i understand i believe that there are difference rules are options to become a rpn in united states verses canada.

Anyone can open a thread to discuss what they are interested in.
But we get tired of giving out the same info over and over. Do a search and see what is out there.
Sorry, I did try looking. Im pretty new to the whole fourm thing. But sorry for asking.Ill keep looking.

well it kind of did. but i’m canadian and i’m planning to have my career here in canada also. i was just wondering if there are strictly canadian forums that would have more information about canadian schools and how they are. mostly i just want to speak with people that went through the same thing or went to the same school that i’m hoping to attend.
i do want to thank you for putting that link instead of just complaining about it. i did read it but i don’t think i need a visa to work here in canada if i’m canadian. well i hope not anyways but thanks again and i’m going to keep looking for this information that supposable on this forum somewhere. if anyone finds it the list of canadian nursing forums in the threads feel free to post it.
thanks again.

hi connie,
unfortunately, there are only a handful of online forums for canadian nursing students, this being one of them. the one you mentioned before i believe is called cnsa (canadian nursing students' association). i know this sounds silly, but if you have a facebook account, search for nursing groups for your specific institution. for example, if you're starting at ryerson university, type in "ryerson nursing" in the search bar on facebook and a bunch of different groups will pop up and you'll find hundreds of users you can discuss it with.
what school do you go to or are planning to attend anyway?
i’m hoping to attend algonquin collage or university of ottawa.

This is a great forum. I am confused about your comment that there isn't a big selection of Canadian topics. Ask the forum about any topic you want by starting your own thread.
ya you are right i do apologize i am now getting a hold of the forums and finding what i'm looking for, and posting threads sorry again

No need to apologize. Everybody was new here once upon a time. I think you know now that you can ask your questions here by starting a thread and you'll probably get the answers you're looking for. One of the problems with this particular forum though is that there aren't nearly as many members from Canada as there are from other countries, and we're so spread out that there might not be anyone from the area (Ottawa) or with the information that you're interested in. But you will find that there are members who will help with looking things up, suggesting sources of information and pointing you in other directions. And that's the best thing about allnurses.com!
